Submitted by littlebrownjug on

Big Play Junior Hemingway scored at the end of the 1st half vs. Pittsburgh tonight. He is playing the #3 slot for KC tonight.

Just saw that man I loved him playin for Michigan. He blocked always played hard bailed Denard out a lot. That speach he gave at the end of the Sugar Bowl after he wont MVP was awesome.

Not trolling. I am as die hard a M fan as everyone else, but I call out stupid or pointless threads when I see them. I like reading the board more than the blig posts but I hate seeing it flooded with dumb crap, like "so and so scored a TD in the NFL" or "drinking thread." That stuff is so lame.

For a second there I really considered giving you some honest advise, from one human being to another, on how to be less standoffish and thus actually make a contribution to this board instead of just running around raining on various parades.

You are just a weak person who lacks the ability to ignore a thread you don't care for? The way I see it if a thread stinks nobody will post on it and people will understand it sucks.

"I call out stupid or pointless threads when I see them."

With all due respect and from the bottom of my Maize and Blue heart...Let me say this.

That's not your fucking job around here.  We have mods and a site owner who has set down specific rules.  Abidbe by them and be a nicer poster on here or enjoy Bolivia.

Threads about the professional exploits of former Michigan players are never OT, so the answer you are looking for from a moderating standpoint is "yes", Wolverines Dominate. Now, if this was already being covered in an NFL open thread or a more general thread tracking Wolverines in the NFL, then this wouldn't perhaps survive as a standalone thread, so to your other point, we do make an attempt to mitigate overlapping discussions even in the on-topic world.

I am still trying to figure out why people click on comments that the don't deem "worthy," and then post a comment.  This is the internet version of "voting with one's feet," and both of the poster's "votes" say that this thread is, indeed, worthy.

Just like my two "votes..."

The answer is simple, the trolls are free to roam in a voting-neutered MGoBoard.  These jerkoffs have turned what would normally be a 20 comment thread into a 50+ comment ragefest of posters telling them what dicks they are.  Some guys get off on weird things.

Just marking where the now 36 direct responses to the original comment end. There are 11 after this, for a grand total of 47 responses. This could have been a short, easy-to-read update on Junior's progress trying to make it onto an NFL team -- something I'm interested in, and something officially on-topic. Instead, you turned it into an unholy mess.

It is, as so many others have already said, absolutely thread-worthy. It told me something I didn't know. It's about one of the main things that is going on right now -- recent Michigan players trying to make NFL rosters and scout teams. An update on the status of all of them (Kovacs, etc.) would make a great DIARY -- let alone a quick Board post about one of them.

yes it is thread worthy this time of year :)...I was reading an article last week out of Chiefs camp that Junior was impressing but then he got a little dinged up...Chiefs like him though

Yes this is a good thread. When the NFL season begins, I'd love to see a weekly roundup of Wolverines in the NFL. Seems like a good project for MGoBlog.

Agreed, but sarcastic criticism here changes nothing, except further the opinion that fruitless petty criticism on the boards is your MO. If you had a more balanced approach instead of cruising the boards looking for something to criticize, we may find your comments less annoying. I don't mind criticism, but when I see your name, thats all I ever see

Since the predominant topic of discussion here at Mgoblog is about what is and what isn't worthy of discussion, I would like to know if this comment is 'comment worthy' before I post it:

Junior's speech is after the Sugar Bowl, especially with Hoke's proud countenance in the background, will go down as one of my favorite moments in UM football. I typically do not care about what happens in the NFL, but when I do, I care about former UM players like Junior.
