@BruceFeldmanCFB Excellent sources have confirmed that Bruce's reporting is accurate, and Harbaugh's offer is not as high as advertised.

JUB just tweeted:
.@johnprieu .@BruceFeldmanCFB Who knows what the NFL teams will bid, but I don't see UM getting outbid. They won't let $ be a reason to stay

The impression I had all along of how this is being pursued is basically the last part of Bacon's reply here. If Harbaugh ultimately declines, they don't want it to be because the offer was not up to snuff, if you will. It would have to be for reasons that Michigan could not compensate him, less tangible things.

Finally a Big Ten team gazes into their vault of BTN doubloons and says "hey, maybe we should use this on the football team"

but the catch is that Harbaugh has to clean the stadium himself and take care of recycling the empty water bottles. Plus empty the wastebaskets and polish the floors in Schembechler Hall.

When it was 8/6 years. Shows me Michigan is serious in the coaching search this time around and that any NFL team is going to have to pony up the dollars in any other offer within the NFL for no other reason than the NFL Talking Heads have been Ass Holes of late.
Tis the Season to Believe!
Harbaugh to Ann Arbor!

..is markedly similar to waiting until after the OSU game to let go of Brady Hoke. Harbaugh made a commitment to his players, coaches, and organization to stay through the last game and UofM (Hackett) honored a pledge to wait until after the season to review Hoke's performance. They are simply fulfilling their respective commitments.
