JT Floyd Article

I didn't see this mentioned sooo

In today's edition of the Daily there is a nice article about JT Floyd and how he played in Booboo's place. I find it interesting that the coaches actually pulled Cissoko in favor of Floyd, and they say Floyd did well filling in. This has to be a good sign for the secondary.

This is not a good sign for the secondary. Floyd was, by most accounts, serviceable. No part of Boubacar getting benched points to a positive sign for the severe lack of depth and experience in the secondary.

Floyd is servicable right now...at best...but he is bigger and more physical than Boo Boo, and he also seems to tackle better. I like his attitude, after listening to him in the press conference after the game. Maybe he will never be a star, but he is young and will only get better.

I don't get all the enthusiasm for JT Floyd. He looked completely lost against Indiana. He's slow, takes bad angles and misses tackles. I understand that Cissoko-bashing is in vogue at moment, but on the basis of the available evidence, I really don't see how Floyd is any sort of upgrade.

He is young and inexperienced. He has a lot of tools that he can use to be extremely good on that level. He has the height, the feet, and the athleticism to be a stud. Also, it appears that he doesn't lack the confidence. Hell yes, he looked out of place. I have $ that says he didn't rep with the 1s at all during the week. To be thrown out there in that position in the middle of the game, b/c the starter is playing poorly is tough duty. Just FYI...CB is the most difficult position to play on the field (including Quarterback)! The only thing going through his head was to not mess up, which he didn't. Guys are going to catch balls on you as a CB, they have scholarships too. I didn't see him give up any touchdowns and Indiana didn't throw the ball right at him 5x in a row (note: Boubie vs. M. Floyd/G. Tate).
