6. Jourdan Lewis, CB, Michigan: The top Michigan player on our list just missed the top five, but could very well finish the season as the best cornerback in country. Lewis has worked his way up to 192 pounds this summer in an attempt to ease questions about how he matches up size-wise with some of the league’s biggest receivers. Nobody has questioned his coverage skills in the last year. His reliability lets the Wolverines defense get more creative in getting after the quarterback.

I don't know if this is true, but if he is able to keep his speed with that size, I think he will be even better press corner than he already is!

Since they mentioned that Lewis is Michigan's top player, I guess the top 5 has to be -JT Barrett -Malik McDowell -Saquan Barkley -Desmond King -?????? Particularly baffled on the hype f9r Saquan Barkley. I admittedly didn't pay a ton of attention to PSU last year, but Barkley wasn't particularly impressive vs Michigan. What has he actually done? I don't think there's any argument for putting him above Lewis, or probably even Peppers in terms of talent or production.

I'd have to guess they're tossing Purdue a bone and naming Replogle to the top 5. Also Barkley is really good. 5.9 ypc behind that awful OL is incredible, and even the advanced stats love the dude. I wouldn't trade Lewis, Peppers, or Butt for him, but he's easily the best returning RB in the conference.

and is the best back in the conference by a wide margin. He has shitty OL blocking for him and a bad QB to hand the ball to him.  He was and always has been the defense's #1 priority on stopping PSU offense.

NFL scouts already has him on the watch list for 2018 draft and thinks he can be a 1st round pick.

Just keep eating shark soup and New York strips at south quad and lifting 4H per day + grueling Harbaugh practices... The 192 will turn into a solid 200# of clandestine beef.

Should have a little more jolt behind his jam off the line. Not too much weight to slow him down much if any. He still has a mad case of the quicks, like a cat.
