Does having the final official visit mean good things for us here? It is much than the OSU or Florida visits so that makes me cringe thinking that he may commit soon. I know that it is a rule of thumb per Brian that the last visit is a good thing with 18 year olds, but I don't know much about this kid or how he is swaying in terms of a commitment. Anyone know much about his recruitment up to this point? I like the offer list!

This human being is not named Casey Prather. I do not care.
I promise this is a temporary phenomenon and I apologize in advance when I ask Thursday what's happened since this afternoon.

It seemed that OSU was his leader for awhile, but maybe something is going on that's causing Josh to think again. Latwan maybe?

If I were him and OSU was my leader I would also come and visit Michigan on 11/21. I hope he chooses Michigan though we need some good quality db's.

that he would be a phenomenal addition. We need some outstanding physical CB's the add to the defense.

someone i talk who coached against him recently said hes a soft verbal to USC
i dont know how accurate this is, but figured i'd post it

My mistake, I thought Shaw was a safety prospect for some reason. His rivals page lists him as a CB though I thought I remembered safety. With regards to OSU, they have a pretty good chance with Lamarcus Joyner (5 star), local Glenville Christian Bryant (4 star), and some other guys. I hope Shaw can come.
EDIT: Did anyone notice on rivals that it said we offered Grimes's teammate Clarence Murphy? Not sure if this has been brought up.

Joyner is no longer so high on OSU as of a month ago FWIW, FSU appeared to be a clear leader.

That's good to hear. I'd much rather see him down south than in Columbus for the next 4 years.

this would be a great get

He was really high on OSU after his visit so one of two things can happen:
A) Michigan shows a strong performance agaist the Suckeyes and Shaw is able to see himself wearing maize and blue and how he'd fit into our defense.
or.....
B) OSU just reconfirms why he likes them so much and his visit to us is more like a second visit for OSU.
I am hoping for the first. I haven't heard much about Grimes lately but he seems to be having a very good season so far from what I've read. With the troubles Boubacar has been having has a smaller CB I'd really like to see guys with a little more size in this class (not taking anything away from Dior).

This is not a big ten battle for him, he is a national recruit

Don't know why that was negged.

Michigan was not even on his list a few weeks ago, so I'm not sure where this visit came from. OSU is one of his finalists so he might just want a free trip to A2 to see the Mich-OSU game. On the other hand, once you get a kid on campus anything can happen. It's clearly a positive, but let's not get our hopes up.

I believe UM replaced LSU on his visit list. LSU has 5 dbs signed up already so that might have some influence.

I know a lot of Buckeyes are thinking/hoping he'll go there. This is interesting and good to hear. He would be a big pick up.
