his parents were not going to be able to make the drive up so he may not have a way to get up there. http://www.mlive.com/wolverines/index.ssf/2014/07/report_four-star_lb_j…;
So, according to Lloyd Christmas at least, there may still be a chance.
From the MLive article:
"Scout.com's Sam Webb reported last week that McMillon's parents were not going to be able to make the drive with him to Ann Arbor on Sunday, which meant that if he was going to attend at all, he'd need to catch a ride with another recruit. Apparently, that's not happening."
The distance from Memphis to Ann Arbor: 738 miles, over 10 hours driving time
The distance from Memphis to Tuscaloosa: 231 miles, 3 1/2 hours driving time
Not every family has the dough to hop on a plane and fly someplace to watch their kid play football.
I could be in Memphis in seven hours, party on Beal Street Saturday night, and drive up Sunday AM. All I need is some BBQ.
Now it's a mighty long way down the dusty trail...
(This song is so great, here's a bonus---a live recording):
If the kid wants it he will come............
Damn, Bama would have sent him a limo to make sure he was present, damn playing by the rules
allowing *offical visits* during summer months, before return to school. Why would that be diffcult to see happen?? Everyone doesn't pull the trigger at sametime. Soo,offical visits should be treated the same...whenever school and kid want to set it up.
This will never happen. It makes sense and would allow students to not have to miss school to make their official visits--can't have that.
to the SEC to see kids from the sweltering heat of the south going north to experience a few days break from the heat.
@nickbaumgardner: Per Scout's @AnnaHScout, Damien Harris won't be at Michigan's BBQ on Sunday, or OSU's event Friday http://t.co/OYQrwhehwL
Reality Bites: Apparently, distance and travel time played a big role in his cancellation---tweeting "It's 12 Hours Away. Can't Make That Trip Often." Come to think of it, Geography Bites!
he will be pictured with next year
who insinuates that a kid, who we are actively recruiting, may be shady or will succumb to gifts, bag men, or are otherwise corrupt should be hammered by the Mods, to the basements of Bolivia. What effect do you think those remarks have on a potential recruit? Are they helpful? No, so why do it?
ten or so remarks, then making a rash statement.because the feeling I was getting early was that he just visited Alabama and combine that with the early annoucement sometime August. I just felt that the writing was on the wall. You really want me to be banished off the site comepletely for what I said. While the first 20 guys are talking about how we got beat by Bama's Engineering school BS again. But lets banish this guy, hell he doesn't even play "REAL" golf. I'll bet he's from the east side too.
fwiw...Just frustrated about people criticizing recruits prior to commitments based on reasons throughout this thread, that's all.
