Yes, ESPN Jr 300 QB Josh Rosen is visiting Michigan right now. He decides on March 20, this visit would have to blow him away to impact him

But the thing is.. Why tell anyone you're coming if you don't want it out there?  Either Rosen's camp leaked it and then said "but don't tell anyone" which is just stupid, or someone in the fort leaked it, in which case Rosen's camp will probably be pissed at the coaches, and rightfully so.

I could also see a scenario where the Rosen camp just wanted it held until tonight or until the visit was over. They may have figured keeping it a secret was impossible but it would hold off the buzz for awhile. Sam and others knew about it days ago and articles were ready to be posted.

Great.  Now the kid hates us cuz we told everyone he was visiting...er, he told us he was...I mean, he didn't mean to tell us.  Wait.  No.  He DID tell us but he didn't want anyone else to say he was telling us.  No that's not it.  He didn't want to tell Coach Nuss that we knew he was telling us.

I are confuzzled.

Nuss can really sell it if he can get a kid from California who was previously not very nterested in us to come all the way out to the midwest in winter on his own dime.

realizes it doesn't have anything to do with Michigan. No offense to Brandon (I admire your integrity with not divulging this), but he asked a bunch of people who make their money giving out scoops on recruiting to keep a secret. Odds were that someone was going to spill the beans.

Being in the recruiting coverage business. The poster was criticizing the coverage business in general, but trying not to use broad brushstrokes and criticize Brandon, who had not leaked information he was asked not to leak.

Kids's the top qb in the country. He's undoubtedly asked for info a dozen times a day. He and or his family probably hoped that if he gave some people the scoop on condition of being quiet and leaving them alone, they'd be quiet and leave them alone. Didn't work, but I see why they'd want it to be secret. Just didn't want the fuss.

I hope it doesn't spoil the visit too much. MLive's job is not to call and harass the kid and his family, so I hope they don't.

Everyone seems to have forgotten why Rosen would have wanted this visit quiet. It's because when he was offered, some crazy Michigan fan called him on the phone. At that point he was totally turned off by Michigan because of that call. You can imagine that he didn't want a bunch of crazy fans to tweet or call again and harrass him. You have to believe Nuss had to work extra hard to turn that situation around and get a visit. For god sakes nobody better screw this up again.
