Josh Kaindoh commits to Maryland
Probably wasn't going to end up at Michigan despite him putting us in his top four last week, which also didn't contain Maryland. Durkin & Maryland are starting strong in recruiting this year.

Long way until signing day. Remember that one time the top RB committed to OSU and then ended up enrolling early at UM? Sometimes stuff happens.
Recruits don't seem to flip away from new coaches that often from what I remember.
Props to Durkin either way for landing some talented players early. If can get it going on the field too, Maryland could make the East brutal.
With the way DJ Durkin called out Harbaugh for being an abrasive ass wipe that nobody like or is impressed with ( outside of AA). Surely Josh could see that Harbaugh just had his best year and that he will never get passed a Dantonio or Meyer coached team, probably figures he will be leaving UM in a few years, just like the last 2 coaches.
Hopefully Durkin is better at keeping OSU away from his prized recruits than he did vs. OSU on the field.
Go Blue!
I would rather him be at Maryland than OSU, PSU, or ND. I think Durkin doing well is good for Michigan and Harbaugh. Always good to have an ally in conference, and Maryland has not been a strong pipeline for Michigan in recent years especially in comparison to OSU or PSU.
We don't play ND anymore, but other than that I agree.
Just like the guys recruiting to Rutgers are good.
Because these new coaches are going to have to prove it on the field. Just like Harbaugh had to.
Please believe, if we only win 4, 5, 6 games...we would've lost a bunch of our class to the big boys. Same will happen to Maryland and Rutgers. So good for them. But you're going to need to show the progress you're promising these recruits.

A five-star from Florida commits to Maryland, which wasn't even in his top 4? Why?
Yup

He's from Maryland. Just goes to HS at IMG in Bradenton.

Hmmm I wonder if this is the northern version of Ole Mi$$

Lol hope this is sarcasm
Not really. How does a doormat program beat out powers for a 5* kid?

his dad
Kaindoh is from Maryland. Not a stretch for him to stay in-state especially with a 1st-year coach who is a good recruiter. Durkin can sell recruits now, but eventually he will have to back it up on the field.
and a new staff with a ton of great recruiters. Plus they're selling the "Oregon of the East" thing hard with UA.
I guess we'll just have to shut Maryland out again and see if he doesn't wanna switch
But seriously, I'd much rather try to sway him from Maryland than OSU.
This is the best outcome for Michigan amongst all of his choices in the Top 4 (except of course for Michigan). Pulling a commit from a 4-8 Maryland team who could lose by 40+ pts in the Big House next year will be much easier than pulling a commit from ND.
This is where I though he would go, all the insiders pretty much thought that he was faking his top 4.
I thought 1. Maryland, 2. ND.
Michigan didn't have a big shot with him
We'll see if this holds, personally I'm skeptical.

Hopefully Harbaugh can get him on campus.
This feels pretty early in the process. let's see if it sticks.
not a misprint? too cool.
Just put us in to make Maryland look better?
They have the most work to do as I'm I'm the exception of those that think Franklin will get things turned around at PSU or he'll leave a talented team to their next coach.
Commits this early means nothing. If Harbaugh, Saban or Meyer crook their finger at the guy he will forget having ever "committed" to the Terps.
Without the usual cunts crying about illegal payouts and decommitting
This is really good stuff coming from all these college graduates here.
Ahem.
Honestly, I am ok with this. Obviously I want Michigan and to have all the greats. But if Durkin succeeds, that builds Harboughs coaching tree. A stronger tree means more good assistant coaches will want to work for him. Which is good for us in the end.

Too bad. When Paramus played IMG on TV, he really stood out to me.
Urb flipped a stud Maryland LB from the Terps post-Durkin last year, right?
O$U has traditionally had a much stronger presence in MD than we have. As has PSU. Hopefully Harbaugh can change that. But at this point, if he flips away from the Terps I would say the money is on an outcome we would not like.
Yeah, Keandre Jones.
top 10 QB recruit .
