We march on, were Michigan
Mason NEEDS this, Pistons, after all you've put him through
We march on, were Michigan
PeeWee sounds pissed. Looks like JG to him he was blue.
I hate my life right now. What's the point now?
He is talking about Josh Garnett.
Strange tweet from Ondre "I wouldnt want it around me or Michigan"
He led Magnuson on a bit...
Ondre Pipkins is not please
Me either. I just don't believe he was undecided last night. He was a favoring Stanford, but continued to float all the pro UM tweets. He just wanted the attention. Sounds like a decent kid overall, but yes, I agree with Ondre that he's got some B.S. in him.
Attention wouldn't you?
Sucks, but best of luck to JG. The Farm is a great school and I wish him the best unless he plays Michigan.
I really feel like we're not going to get Diamond either
Man we could really use Kozan now. We need another solid OG
Maybe we will find a Diamond in the rough
or maybe we can get Jordan Diamond. When you said Diamond it reminded me.
They already lost one of our promised jewels, so kay jewelers better have the diamond i am looking for.
Well the chances of us playing Stanford in the next four years are actually pretty good, so I'm sure we will see him. And he will lose.
For once, I can't say that a kid isn't as serious about academics as he claims because he didn't pick us. He chose the one place that has us beat in that department. Best of luck to him. We still have a killer O-line class, and we'll probably land Diamond.
Quick! Somebody make sure Magnuson is not hyperventilating!!!
Will come because of Garnett not coming and there being more space for playing time. Hopefully Michigan turns up the notch because lately we haven't done jack shit
For no reason at all, my gut feeling says Diamond is going to Arkansas
Losing him to ohio would hurt much more.....we already have a good group of off. lineman but getting Diamond-Kozan or Muller from Rutgers would be nice....I long for the days when I didn't follow recruiting and just read the list of stud recruits Bo hauled in on signing day....an 18 year old kid from Washington just ruined my day lol
and play his football in front of 50,360 fans in Stanford stadium. That's a capacity crowd there. The last time Michigan had a home game with fewer people than that?
1969 Sept. 27 Washington (Bo's second game as HC) 49,684 fans.
You have to go back to 1963 for another Michigan home game with a crowd that small.
I wonder if Jim Harbaugh encouraged him to choose Stanford. After all, that was Harbaugh's number one choice—not Michigan:
"I used to stare down at that field as I was stenciling those numbers," Harbaugh told reporters, athletes and others who crowded into the Arrillaga Family Sports Center's Kissick Auditorium. "I so very badly wanted to go to Stanford and play for the Cardinal. … This was my number-one choice all along."
In case you haven't noticed, Jim Harbaugh is a douchebag.
Can you all please save the disingenuous "Oh well best of luck to him! Great choice nonetheless!" It's incredibly lame and needs to stop.
So you're in the "I hope you blow out your ACL" camp, then?
Oh lord no I'd never wish injury upon someone else..... I said nothing of the sort in my post. How you come to that conclusion is beyond me. What I do wish is for people to stop the, "Oh well, go get em (recruits name)!!" The kid basically led michigan on and decided the school wasn't good enough for his needs. Acting like we're all going to become fans of every kid who spurns Michigan is retarded. The minute he chooses otherwise is the minute he no longer matters to us. Save the rhetoric.
So being classy and wishing good luck to a kid we all wanted to come to UM is being retarded?
I think you should stop digging the hole you're in.
Hello false alternatives.
Why would you think that I am being disingenuous???
I honestly wish the best for him. He picked a great school. Why is that lame?
I immediately acquire the maturity level of a small child when following recruiting. Oh well, Good luck Josh!
I feel cheated on in the same way I felt cheated on when I found out Natalie Portman was pregnant. She was never mine, and though I thought we were in love, all she ever did was smile at me.
Would have been great. But assume that academics really are no. 1 with the kid... Michigan opens many, many, many doors as professional schools and careers after football are concerned.
But Stanford opens 'em all. I'd have probably done the same.
(or maybe do Michigan undergrad then Stanford medical? He does know he's not guaranteed admission to Stanford's medical school, right? Admission to the med school is even tougher than undergrad-- and they don't care if you can play football... just sayin', seems like the best of both worlds, but if you want a guaranteed Stanford degree on your wall, take the Cardinal-red bird in hand)
Ah well, maybe just being philosophical but this leaves more room in the talent pipeline for the trench guys they're still after this year plus the 2013 guys. Seems to me it has a way of balancing itself out.
Dont act all high and mighty, Don. Any negative attention Garnett gets right now from us is well deserved. Consider yourself duped with the rest of us, me most of all.
I never thought Garnett was coming to UM in the first place, and I'm far from surprised that he chose Stanford. Save your dupitude for other people.
As for your statement: "Any negative attention Garnett gets right now from us is well deserved," you've now crossed over into Buckeye fan territory. Or have you forgotten how Kalis was treated by Ohio State fans?
Summoner10 wasn't pulling an OSU on Kalis, nor was I... and you tried to make it that way. There is nothing wrong with what Summoner10 said, at all. I'm the last guy to wish ill on someone like that, however, if one deliberately decieves, then the LAST thing they'll get, are "good wishes and best of luck".
i am never ever going to follow a kids recruitment again! to hear him say all the right things than choose a different school. just let me know when some one commits.
by the way. whats jordan diamonds twitter name. I'm gonna go see how interested he is in michigan.
sick to the gut!
I don't dislike the kid, but I'm sure as hell not going to wish him luck. I don't wish luck on kids from any other program, let alone Stanford.
exactly... and lets see what Don says after Garnett possibly swaying Magnuson to Stanford.
I can finally poop a solid turd now.
Tha is the second Garnett we done lost out on smh!
I wonder what happens when a Stanford kid goes in for an interview if it's such a superior school. Because every time I've gone in with Michigan on my resume' I've always gotten an "Ooooh so you went to... Meechigannn." They must really bust a ...gut over those Stanford kids.
He's the enemy now..
