Jordan Taylor records 100th Career Win, M mercies tosu 9-1
Well I think all of our fears have been answered today regarding JT and her Rotator Cuff injury last week. JT was back in her usual dominate form by striking out 10 and walkiing 1 and yielding 1 ER off of 1 hit. The win was JTs 100th win in her college career at Michigan.
JT looks like she hasnt missed a pitch and is ready for the post-season that begins 20MAY11.
The offensive heros are Amanda Chidester and Ashley Lane. Chiddy went 1 for 3 with 5 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Her only hit was a grand slam home run in the second inning. Ashley went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs and 1 run scored. She also hit a tater, a 3 run shot in the first inning.
Overall, a very nice win as compared to last nights game against EMU. I know we have a open thread but I thought JTs 100th was worth its own thread.
Blue Dragon, you know what to do.
on the B10 Network. The girls dominated. It was fun to watch, especially whooping on those girls down south
was nice to see the Senior JT get into a groove and mow them down. I just hope the underclassmen understand the importance of beating that team from the south.
Any reason to post this-
Somehow I thought you would post this. Now all we need is Blue Dragon to do his thing.
Blue Dragon
I actually got to watch the team in action for about 90 seconds today thanks to MGoBlue video streaming. The game was M-EMU. M looks almost as good as I imagined them.
...mostly for Taylor's own health, but also for the team. In softball a dominant starting pitcher is worth several runs nearly every game, not every 4th or 5th game.
I love beating OSU in any sport especially when a mercy is involved. It seems like these girls could have a special team this year
special season. JT threw a no-no, SS almost threw a perfect game, Colies 20 game hit streak, Bree's current 18 game hit streak, beating ASU and Zona in the same weekend.
I could go on and on. I cant wait to see the tourney pairing.
Awsome! WTG girls! I love it MGoSoftball! Thanks and Go Blue!
What's the record for most career victories? (too lazy to look it up)
What kinds of opportunities are out there for these girls after college? Can they make a living playing softball or do they typically need other employment (that is, if they plan to work)
its very conceivable JT could break the record this year
