Exactly. This is an outrage, and if Hoke doesn't respond, it will be very telling. Hoke responding would be very telling, and getting Fred Jackson involved could be telling. Where is Lloyd Brady in all of this? It would be telling to know what LB thinks about this situation.

Payton is a drama queen and loves all the attention. I figured his ship sailed when he bailed on Mich right before he was "supposed" to sign .
He seems like a kid that would bitch about not getting enough targets. Good riddance I say. I'm actually not bitter, and wish the kid well - but kinda glad it looks like he's moving on.

It's a reference to a video game(Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim) where all the guards in different towns tell you they used to be an adventurere like you(or something to that effect) until they took an arrow to the knee.
