dude, really, i lke something red... AM I A BUCKEYE?!?!?!?
Jordan Payton "Likes something Golden"
perhaps he was eating golden grahams for breakfast
Maybe he's a big fan of Golden Tate, who happens to be playing on MNF tonight.
Brady Hoke and I don't approve of the color red!
I feel pretty today
Disgusting. I think that's pretty telling about his character as a person.
Dude, what even brought you to a place like that? What was the thought process?
I wasn't aware Penn State was high on his list?
Exactly. This is an outrage, and if Hoke doesn't respond, it will be very telling. Hoke responding would be very telling, and getting Fred Jackson involved could be telling. Where is Lloyd Brady in all of this? It would be telling to know what LB thinks about this situation.
MaN that's just funny...golden showers....were going through a tough time with a death in the family and this just made me laugh out loud. Some if you guys should be comedians
Slow day huh?
Did he make any mention of Frankincense & Myrrh?
Perhaps he was just in the Christmas spirit or something.
be a reference to the Cal Golden Bears.
Or dem Notre Dame Golden Domies
I like turtles.
Well, there actually is some color resembling gold on this uniform...
I like lamp.
Is this really thread worthy? I see him tweet stuff like this all the time. Would never think twice of posting.
I like something brown.... Mmm or eww? You decide.
....and look at where it got her!
Too bad the pic doesn't show the arrow on BAD.
You know he probably was watching Willie Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. I'VE GOT A GOLDEN TICKET.
Coach Hoke should go poop on his lawn then!
Perhaps he likes the gold market... He may be speculating on rising gold prices in our current economic environment. Thats my best guess. That or, his "Boyz" are clowning on him again.
Well Cal is going to take 6 receivers in this class (That's right, that is stupid)..
They have five committed right now...
Did Matt Millen become the Head Coach out there?
...from Hoke's porcelain-lined colon. I mean what else comes out of his colon?!?!
Que the Hoke pooping gold gif...
Coach Hoke poops gold. That has to be what it means. No need to worry here.
is Al Golden coaching?
Payton is a drama queen and loves all the attention. I figured his ship sailed when he bailed on Mich right before he was "supposed" to sign .
He seems like a kid that would bitch about not getting enough targets. Good riddance I say. I'm actually not bitter, and wish the kid well - but kinda glad it looks like he's moving on.
Whatev...we already got Darboh
pimptastic shiny gold toof?
he is gone
I used to want Payton in this class, then I took an arrow to the knee.
what that means. Enlighten me, por favor?
I used to know what it meant, and then I took an arrow to the knee.
It's a reference to a video game(Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim) where all the guards in different towns tell you they used to be an adventurere like you(or something to that effect) until they took an arrow to the knee.
Probably Cal. Please don't say you'd rather have Darboh then Payton.
I'd rather have Darboh than Payton, if that's what you meant. But I said that a couple months ago.
I'd rather have Darboh than Payton. Wait. You said don't say it. If I type it does that count? Not for nothing, but I'd rather have a kid who wants to be a Wolverine than one who doesn't.
I think most of us would ecsuse he seems to be more explosive. I'd rather have Madaris too. But, I'd rather take Payton than Chesson. Real talk homie.
I can see where you guys are coming from but Oklahoma, USC and every recruiting site disagree. Before his soph. Season ankle injury he was regarded as a top 3 receiver in the class. I would give a slight edge to Payton not by much though. He's going to Cal anyway so this won't matter.
I think Payton with our staff's coaching is better than Chesson at ND or Iowa. I think Chesson with our staff's coaching is better than Payton at ND or Cal.
I really don't even care any more...our coaches know what they're doing and who they want. There is no one on the board that makes me go "huh? who?" So whoever WANTS to come to Michigan and be a part of something great...props to them.
...everyone else. Prepare to get rolled the f**k over.
What about that RB you guys got. Johnson I believe his name was.
Why not? Payton is a nice prospect, just like Darboh, Payton is not a Diggs
kinda figured thats how the this was going to go, not a big deal, would prefer a kid that wants to be here than someone who comes here because its the best situation for him, but his heart is elsewear
He's going to the Akron State Golden Bobcats.
I like ice cream!
I'm guessing he means Al Golden... Who knew he was even considering Miami?
Hoke poops gold. That's what I thought first with regard to the OP Subject line.
Regarding Payton, I assumed when he didn't sign a month or so back that they had cooled on Payton (and thus, he cooled on us.) I'm not surprised, nor am I disappointed.
I trust in the judgement of Hoke & Borges. Payton is a good guy, but he would probably have stayed buried on the depth chart, getting time on the Scout team. It isn't worth coming here from California just to do that.
Add another OL guy, or a DL, or a Safety, or a Tight End. Take the best possible recruits available.
- Brionte Dunn, RB
- Wes Brown, RB
- Jehu Chesson, WR
- Monty Madaris, WR
- Sam Grant, TE
- Taylor McNamara, TE
- Jordan Diamond, OL
- Zach Banner, OL
- Josh Garnett, OL
- Alex Kozan, OL
- Yuri Wright, CB
- Anthony Standifer, CB (very unlikely)
- Shaq Thompson, S
Now, obviously, there isn't room for all these guys, but is we can take four of them, I would be thrilled to have either RB, either WR, a TE, an OL, and a CB.
If we end up with:
well, we could scarely have a better class.
I read a live chat on ESPN that Tom VH did today and one of the questions was about Taylor McNamara. Tom said that he wants to EE and that would not be possible with Michigan so he is no longer considering us. Seems like pretty reliable info.
I don't get that.
what in the world makes you think Payton would ever be buried on the depth chart? I know we had a good year, but when did we start burying WR's with offers from Notre Dame, Oklahoma, USC and Florida on the depth chart? Was it after we recruited Justin Blackmon and cloned him 5 times last year?
Oddly, but kind of cool, Rivals has Wes Brown down to Vanderbilt and Virginia. Scout has Vanderbilt as the favorite.
he won't matter because he's going to Cal.
He caught the golden snitch?
He DOES have great hands.
Payton tweeted the other day about getting back to LA and how much he loves California. I think we'll have a hard time pulling this guy from the Cali life. I'd say he's a strong lean to Cal.
now get the fuck off of my lawn
but I am happy with Darboh and with Chesson, assuming he commits. I am not sure how Payton figures playing for ND or Cal Golden Bears, assuming that is what his cryptic tweet refers to. Both Cal and ND seem to have more than enough receivers for this year's class. Assuming either would be willing to take another WR commit, how much sense does that make? You are going to be competing not only against upper classmen but also against 3-5 guys in your class and against guys in the subsequent class. At Michigan, he woud not have a whole lot of competition. We aren't exactly stacked with the big possession receiver types. Stonum and Miller will be around but Miller is slated to play TE. I don't know what the kid is thinking. Unless, the coaches cooled off on him.
Kenneth Walker (3-star)
Bryce Treggs (4-star)
Darius Powe (4-star)
IMO, which ain't worth a whole lot, if you want to get on the field early it would be silly to join this class as a WR.
Cuz he pity the fool, Payton.
a recruiting violation?
Golden Arches? Yup, I'm lovin' it...
Payton's affinity for former Israeli prime ministers means he could only be referrring to Golda Meir!
A fine line between sexy and lurid indeed!
...he means golden rainbows.
I saw Jordan play this year, I live 5 minutes from Oaks. He was less than impressive on both sides of the ball. My opinion is from actually watching him
play. Prior to seeing him play, I got caught up in all the hype and thought he was going to be awesome.
In the two biggest games of the year against Westlake, he was a TOTAL NON FACTOR on both O & D. In the championship game he caught 1 pass.
On he other hand his teammate WR Brian Owusu is a beast. He father is an Olympic track star, has siblings at Stanford and I believe Columbia and Harvard.
sexy specs. .
