"Not only does he try out and make the team, now he's in there playing at safety playing at safety in the middle of crunch time on national TV against Notre Dame. To me, that's pretty special." From what I saw, I thought he did a great did a great job and I always appreciate stories like this. I also admire players who will continue to play through injury wherever possible, but I'm mildly concerned about his categorical aversion to notifying the staff of any non-fatal injuries. I think (and hope) Kovacs has a better idea where that line lies than this article makes it appear.

R.R. like walk-ons since he was a walk-on at WVU. Glad to see that good kids get a chance to see their hard work pay off.

Jordan has already played more than his dad in his entire career. His dad got in for 3 minutes against Purdue his senior year and that was it. Bo gave him Scout team player of the week a couple times, but he never went on a road trip with the team until the Rose Bowl his senior year. Kovacs looked ok to a little better than ok in his play out there ... he did bust the first 2-pt convo up and he's only a redshirt freshman ... could this possibly turn into shades of wisconsin's secondary
