Per free press, umhoops.com has it as well. Dumars is a 6'5 wing who was a 2 star recruit.

I went to two games that he got into during the last five minutes down here at USF. As of now, he has yet to adjust to the speed of even inferior competition. He looks pretty coordinated and has his dad's smooth shot, but can't pull the trigger fast enough yet. When he rushes his shot, it goes awry, as with most players. He does have potential, and I think playing on the scout team and doing the JB drills could turn him into a "late bloomer," but for now he is definitely a "not ready for prime time player." If he does attend UM, I would hope for contributions as a junior or senior, but probably not until then. Having a degree from UM, though, would be a very good plan for him. I have a feeling we will eventually be seeing him work in sports administration like his dad. Having a UM degree and a father named Joe Dumars would certainly open a lot of doors and probably ensure that the rest of his life goes quite well.

Jordan Dumars? The name would lead me to believe that this is the secret love child of Michael Jordan and Joe Dumars. I can't believe he's considering Michigan. Word is that his game is as good as his father (s), basically a mixture.

a name with Michael Jordan, in light of the bad blood and intensity of the rivalry between the "Bad Boys" era Pistons and the upstart Chicago Bulls. I personally loved the Bad Boys Pistons teams. True, they were physically tough and inimidating, but the "Bad Boys" concept seemed like marketing spin that people took too seriously. They won games with the non-glamorous hard work of defense, the brilliance of Isiah Thomas, and the steadiness of Joe Dumars. Even then, the impression was that Joe Dumars was a classy guy who was above the bad boys image. Remember when Danny Ainge tried to pick a fight in the playoffs and Dumars walked away? This is pure speculaton, but I would imagine that Dumars named his son after Jordan out of mutual respect.
