I'm starting to think it will be an either or situation with Diamond and Garnett. With making his announcement a few days after national signing day is Diamond wanting to see what all O linemen actually sign with U of M? Even with Caleb Stacey decommiting that's still a lot of competition for a few roster spots.

If you go to 11w, it seems like OSU doesnt want him.  They do say something about it would take a large price.  Was that even me?  They need tackles.

For better or worse, Meyer is a relentless recruiter.  I can assure you that the fear of losing a recruiting game with Michigan would not deter him from going after a recruit.  Heck, he had/has no problem trying to go after Kalis and Dymonte - and they are about as solid to Michigan as it gets.

Yeah, and a follow-up question:

For OL more than other positions, isn't there more of an incentive for solid recruits to join one another in terms of looking good for future NFL prospects, and be part of a stellar unit, rather than being the big fish in a little pond (ie the STAR RB or WR)?

If that's the case, shouldn't the signing of one star recruit on OL catalyze the signing of others?

And shouldn't there be an incentive for a recruit to, once committed to a program, sell the program to other OL prospects MORESO than other positions?

And if that's the case, shouldn't there be motivation for OL prospects to commit ASAP so they can get on with recruiting OTHER top OL to their program, and thus improve their OWN prospects of being part of a stellar OL unit, and hence improve their future NFL incomes?

Or am I missing something?

Just wondering.

Apparently something soured OSU on Diamond. I hope that after Dodson flips to OSU it doesn't matter who dumped who, because we've moved on. OSU and UofM clearly are head and shoulders above the rest of the B1G in recruiting this year, and I like it that way.
