Yeah, it makes me believe he's truly contrite about the situation.

I wonder, though, if the teammate who allegedly was bedding Reschke's girlfriend apologized for that. Because that's also often poisonous in a team situation.

something like this happening with Prince Fielder's wife when he was with the Tigers and I remember hearing that's why they got rid of Avisail Garcia. As you point out, there is no excuse. Anger and alcohol don't make people say things they don't think, it usually makes them say things they normally wouldn't say out loud.

Came here to make a similar comment. Two idiots. Jamal Lyles, who is rumored to have slept with the gf, was a 5th year senior this past season. I would hope that they would've voted him off the team as well if he were still eligible.
But uhh... at least he waited until they technically weren't teammates anymore to bang her.3-9 wasn't a fluke if that's the type of comradery in the locker room.
