What are the general rumblings around Ann Arbor about Merrill and the probability of returning to the team? I'd bet you guys are more connected to the hockey program than that turd Bob McKenzie.

I've heard several times that the general feeling is that he wants to / plans to return to the team or he would've just jumped to the OHL/AHL/NHL by now. But I haven't seen a direct quote from him or Red in a while

Its a tough situation because its Dave Brandon/ the athletic department that is suspending him and not the hockey program/Red.
My feeling is that he is going to play in the World Juniors and then come back to the team for the second half of the season. I don't actually know if that will happen, but thats what I think will happen.
I think him being allowed to
I think him being allowed to play in the World juniors is a sign that things are headed in the right direction. I expect to see him on the ice for Michigan in 2012. But I could just be blowing hot air out of my ass. I'm just speculating.
