Well that just sucks.  He was playing extremely well prior to the injury and these type of injuries are an absoluely bitch to come back from.

Just ask Bill Walton & Žydrūnas Ilgauskas

He provided us a little more toughness inside...love Smotz, but he's a SG/SF in a PF's body. I know he's gotten some double doubles, but it wasn't because he overpowered the opposition. He's a scrappy kid who takes advantage of the long rebounds from our long shots.

Morgan has LIVED in foul trouble, we really needed Horford so that when Morgan goes out, Horford can play the 5 and Smotz can stay at the 4. Evan simply should never play center just like Novak shouldn't have to play PF.

Can McGary play early?

We talked about it a little in the Bradley preview.  (Because Beilein talked about it)

Morgan and Metrics will have to be a little more careful, Mclovin will get some minutes, Novak will probably get some minutes at the 4, and that kid from Illinois will most likely burn his redshirt.

This is not what I had in mind when I predicted that Horford would have a "break-out year."

Since I'm sure it's safe to say that Horford is a warrior, I am guessing that he played over this injury early until he could no longer hide it, and that was the main reason he wasn't as effective as it looked like he would be this season.

I hope he is able to heal and reach his potential.  I am still convinced that he could be a star as a junior or senior.
