I searched and didn't see any mention of this. During the WTKA interview Falk mentioned that his book is due out in August. I love the title - "If These Walls Could Talk". Imagine what Falk has seen over the course of his career.
so much for that
Hearing most of Jon's stories first hand and being a part of / seeing several as they happened, I can personally say this book will be pure entertainment for anyone who is a fan of sports (not just UofM either).
The man knows everyone, so the characters in his stories will hit home all over the place. From Sparky Anderson and Alan Trammel to Johnny Bench to Bo or Brandstatter...
Jonny may be the funniest MFer on the planet. If he even tells half his stories, that book would be a must read. I only wish we could get a collection of all his NSFW stories...
"I love him, he's a great coach, he's a great mentor, he's a great friend. He's every single thing you want a college coach to be, and he does it flawlessly." -David Molk
What are some of the parallels between RR and Bo that John Falk mentioned? I couldnt hear the 1050 broadcast and am really interested.
Baseball players are smarter than football players. How often do you see a baseball team penalized for too many men on the field?
Do they ever end? I love all the "Michigan Memories" type books. Go to Barnes and Noble and their are dozens of books on the "tradition" and "lore" of Michigan football.
No fan base likes to look in the rear view mirror more than U of M fans....
I heard him this morning on WTKA, and the comparisons he made between Rich Rod and Bo were very interesting. Coming from a guy who has worked extensively with both coaches, it seems that Rich Rod and Bo possessed very similar methods at the beginning of their Michigan coaching careers.
After hearing Falk, I now think even less of the people who spout nonsense like "Rich doesn't give a shit about tradition".
