John L. Smith accidentally calls his team Alabama.
"use old embed code" and copy/paste that in plain text editor in order to embed in an OP.
You might want to make the title more informative or include more content in your post before the wolves tear you to shreds. Just sayin'.
Edit: good recovery.
did anybody hire this guy? What the hell is he like in a job interview?
My only guess.
I actually feel bad for that guy. This was kinda sad to watch.
that made me cringe with embarrassment for him. Hard to believe how far that program has fallen in such a short period of time. JLS is a dope.
Just in over his head. I think he wants someone to put him out of his misery.
since I live in AR I can assure you that there is a long line of people waiting to help him with that.
Oh My god that is painful to watch.
It's Arkansas, next question!
Start at the 30 second mark. This guy makes me cringe.
And maybe this is why he got smoked by Bama, he's a fan. Don't give up on Alabama!
Fergodsakes cut the man some slack. He just buried his brother.
The fans may have not given up on the team but they are about to give up on him. Sad.
Imagine John L. and Dantonio on a long car ride.
Sadly I think John L. would be left at the first or second rest stop without so much as a kind farewell.
Easy: Grumpy and Dopey.
This poor guy! I'm starting to root for him.
This. It's not fun making fun of him anymore. The guys been through a lot in the past few weeks and piling on isn't fun. The guy is going through a horrible time in his life and ill be pulling for his Alabama/Arkansas Razorbacks the rest of the season. ROLL BACKS ROLL!!!
Get up, shake the dust off, and ... WIN EVERY GAME THE REST OF THE SEASON!!!!!!
Would go great with a cookie monster/death metal vocal overdub.
Anyway, John L needs this on his iPod
This was kinda fun to watch... Good voice and all.
I hope he lands on his feet next year. He's too entertaining to retire already, and with all the stuff in his personal life and the coaching woes this year I feel rather bad for him actually.
He didn't even seem to notice. Kinda cringe-worthy
Guy's having a bad run. Hope he pulls through.
Alabama and then surpass their current success.
i expected him to be bad at coaching arkansas, but it really is incredible how fast he is running this program into the ground. State should hire him back!
JLS is better than marky mark.
I used to laugh at John L., but come one he's been through enough.
I used to laugh, now I'm scared as hell.
In some ways I equate what JLS is going through right now to that of the replacement refs in the NFL. Over their head? Yes. Ill equiped to handle the job they took on? Without question. Taking insane heat because they are what they thought they were?. Without a doubt.
But at the end of the day they accepted the job that someone else offered them. Who really is to blame? Seems to be that the tire fire that is Arkansas football started with Bobby P putting his desire for some strange above that of his team and it simply cascaded downward from there.
If you've never had it before, it's strange.
It's called strange when it's not the one you're used to having and in Petrino's case, the one you're SUPPOSE to have.
Amen and truly LOL'D
Poor guy keeps slapping himself.
What else can go wrong for this guy...
I'd like to see Mark May step down and be replaced by John L Smith. Holtz and Smith would be something special to watch.
If you can guarantee that John L. would slap Holtz on a weekly basis, I'm all for it.
He's delirious at this point too...AH FUCK IT!
I don't know whose more sad to watch, John L Smith or Charlie Sheen.
I don't see what is so bad about JLS saying that Arkansas is Alabama's team and that the people of Alabama should support Arkansas. That makes perfect sense.
Sure he's having a bad week, but I don't think that means people can't laugh at the comment.
Poking fun at Smith for calling the school he's the HEAD COACH of by its rival isn't the same as the Sandusky t-shirts, let's be real.
Besides, the guy is just weird/deranged. The fact that he was call on to lead a football program is funny in itself. Look at all the missteps.
Someone's crazy grandfather? Sure. A Division 1 (SEC) Head Coach? No way.
