Today is Joe Paterno's 84th birthday. Wow Thats old for... well anyone not just a football coach.
this week in unintentionally grim-sounding recruiting headlines
i bought him some viagra
but Betty White used to babysit him.
I see where you are going there, but I think you misworded that...
That cake is a god-damned fire hazard
ago and couldnt hear the talk show host. Whoever was with him got on the line and could hear the person fine. They put Joe back on the phone and he still couldnt hear a single word the guy was saying. The talk show hosts starts screaming CAN YOU HEAR ME and Joe just gives up and hands the phone off.
That was great. I heard that on the JR show. THat host was so excited to interview him too. He just sounded like my grandpa trying to figure out a cell phone.
Even Howard Stern picked up on that interview and had some fun with it. Advice to Paterno: If you are in sports and are discussed on Howard, generally, something has gone terribly wrong.

It's state of the art and Medicare covers it a 100%.
From me and Obama to you Joe Pa - happy 800th.
He started coaching, "...when the Dead Sea was just sick..." - MT Tech football coach.
When he started coaching, "Christ was just a kid!"

He's so old his birth certificate has expired....

Shattering the dreams of potential successors since 1983.
Happy Birthday though-- definitely an impressive man to say the least.
UNLIKE JOE PA...THIS...NEVER....GETS OLD!
Great man, legend of the game...we really should cherish him, not to many like him these days..

So I updated my picture of him to show what he looked like at his party
This is great!
is my AR/AP clerk. She has been in commercial real estate accounting for years and she blows away anyone else I have. She whips around in our accounting software and Excel like a tween on their facebook page. Amazing.
......a "reliable insider" that this year, JoePa was asking that gift donations be directed to his burial tomb at the local cemetary. Just sayin'.
I've seen a few commentators and CFB congnoscenti sending JoePa "Happy Birthday" wishes on Twitter.
This is roughly akin to writing it in watercolors at the bottom of the ocean. He'll have about as much chance to read it there.
No sugarcoat, he's a legend. My dad's 85 and I see the resemblances. Hope they both have many more years of good health.
I was watching the news one day and there is this 100 year old OB/GYN still practicing in Georgia I think.
