Joe Pa is now a poser
The guy doesn't need his glasses anymore but had a pair made to continue wearing them. In all seriousness I can understand why an old man would do this after wearing them for so many years. At this point they have to be part of him.
Paterno says he still feels funny without glasses, so he had a set made with similar frames but much thinner lenses. He wore those glasses to the charity event.
