i cannot describe how bad i feel for gallaraga.  A perfect game is the pinnacle of pitching, and he was robbed of one.

a post that has no value to it, of which it fits into one of the threads already on the board and has 10 replies just like it, needs to have its own post? I get it, people are pissed. But I'm pretty sure all the rage can be kept in 1 thread.

Oh come on. Did you not hear the news about what happened? People need a chance to vent about some things. Sure, maybe the thread will end up getting cleared by tomorrow morning, but do you want someone to take this out on their dog?

Come on, that argument won't work. Detroit burned a few cars in '84 when they won. A person got killed celebrating Boston's '04 title by a beanbag projectile fired by police. And I hope you remember the reaction we all had to the Miami game where we also got screwed. No matter what, good or bad, people will vent or celebrate in ways that are easily worse than this.

Why did you come on here to vent to us about having to many threads for this subject then? To not vent like this is to not be human. Its almost as if you came to this thread to attack the fact of to many threads rather than contribute to what the thread was meant for.

The only thing "downhill" about this thread is your MgoPoints due to your inability to grasp that quite a few members of this blog are also die hard Tiger's fans.

Sports fanatics + Horsheshit call = Armageddon.

I will say this.   Your ill advised interjection has provided an outlet for venting.  We thank you.

Would it not matter to you if Desmond was mysteriously and erroneously whistled down on the one and didn't get the great moment of striking the Heisman pose?

Hell I'm a diehard Indians fan (read: frequently depressed) and that call ruined my night.

while not a Tigers fan, I love to see historical moments. Hell, I was cheering for Jimenez when he was no hitting my Braves. I was cheering for Roy Halladay, even if it meant the Phillies went another game up. I was pulling for Galaraga to get the perfect game. I just find the threats in the thread to be embarrassing.

That's BS, don't backtrack now.  Look at the time stamp on your first comment - you starting bitching about this thread well before anyone said anything inappropriate.

If you bitch about anything M related this fall, I'll be the first one to call you out.

My first comment was asking if it was needed when there were already a couple threads on the game already and stating that nothing good come out of a thread. It doesn't take alot of brain power to figure out that a thread like this was going to be bad long before it turned out to be. I started bitching about about the about the threats after they were made.

And I don't hope people die over the internet. Sorry. If you see me stoop to that level, i hope you'll let me know about it.

you sir are an idiot.  sorry.  you complain about starting a new thread on this bad call, yet you post countless items on it.  nobody forces you to read any thread, yet you've also posted several time on it.  what does it say about you.  personally, i can scan the threads, read the op, and if it's anyway interesting, i'll post something.  otherwise i move on.  suggestion - do the same.

Thats pathetic.  MLB will be making a statement soon I'm sure.  I feel terrible for Gallaraga though, started the season in the minors, comes up for what most people feel will be a couple spot starts and ends up getting absolutely robbed of a Perfect Game

That just pisses me off so god damn much! HE THREW A PERFECT GAME, only to get royally FUCKED by the ump. HE WAS OUT BY A FUCKIN STEP, IT WASNT EVEN CLOSE!!!!!!!!!

The Freep could go a long way towards redeeming themselves by printing a "Perfect Game" headline tomorrow, refusing to acknowledge an obviously incorrect call.  It's not like the one hit occured in the fifth inning or something - it was the final out, the game was over.  I refuse to recognize that call - 21 perfect games in MLB history!

I can see if it was an inch or so but the dude was out by feet! If they can review homeruns why can't they review that? How can you let a perfect game die like that MLB?!!'

i didn't see the game - only replays.  but i would think the home plate ump would stop action, huddle with the other umps, and change the call.  i know this isn't normal protocal, but this wasn't a normal game.

If Bud Selig has any sense left in those brains, he'll come out tomorrow and declare that a perfect game. Yea, that's probably not gonna happen or even possible, but i'm fucking outraged.
