Jim Harbaugh is on Twitter!
Seems like Jim Harbaugh may have just joined twitter under the name:
There have been no tweets just yet. No clue whether this is the real Jim Harbaugh, but the account is followed by the @umichfootball and @umich (2 official UM twitter accounts) which makes me lean towards it being him.
Harbaugh on twitter could be real interesting, hopefully it's real!
(Edited to add a link to the twitter account and to remove the"Maybe" from the title. This looks to be Harbaugh's legit twitter as several posters have said below).

Only will know if he admits it or if there is that famous blue check.
January 2nd, 2015 at 4:12 PM ^
He is verified, and this is his first tweet:
Doors are open at Schembechler Hall. Look forward to getting knee-to-knee with the current team. Players, stop by and say hi!

Quick. Everyone go to mgoblue, pick out your favorite walk on, drive over to Schembechler Hall and pretend to be him
January 2nd, 2015 at 2:50 PM ^
It's legit. I read somewhere that Michigan was already working on getting him a twitter. Isn't verified yet, but official U-M athletic department accounts are following it so it's legit.
January 2nd, 2015 at 2:51 PM ^
If anyone would know it would be you. +1.
January 2nd, 2015 at 5:42 PM ^
why would Michigan need to "work on" him getting a twitter account? lol
January 2nd, 2015 at 2:51 PM ^
He's lightyears ahead of Hoke already when it comes to technology.
January 2nd, 2015 at 2:55 PM ^
This was Hoke contacting recruits via internet.....
January 2nd, 2015 at 2:57 PM ^
Hit refresh on his account right now every ten seconds and he gains 100 followers. The revolution has started.
January 2nd, 2015 at 3:00 PM ^
That's going up almost as fast as Denard's did when he first started.
January 2nd, 2015 at 3:39 PM ^
Wow, you are not kidding. I started following at 15.2K and less than a minute later it was at 15.6K.
January 2nd, 2015 at 5:10 PM ^
Wow. Did it just open today? Zero to now 55,000 in less than 24 hours? Thats insane
January 2nd, 2015 at 5:39 PM ^
Especially when it comes to using things like a headset!
January 2nd, 2015 at 2:51 PM ^
Has been confirmed by a UM spokesperson, but we won't know for sure until he says something about khakis.
January 2nd, 2015 at 2:52 PM ^
@urbzworstnightmare
January 2nd, 2015 at 2:52 PM ^
probably for recruiting purposes. i doubt he'll actually tweet something himself. will be GAs.
January 2nd, 2015 at 2:55 PM ^
If Harbaugh was a tweet-er he'd have one already. Probably going to basically be an athletic department PR tool publically and a recruiting tool privately
January 2nd, 2015 at 3:36 PM ^
Check his old twitter while at Stanford. He'll tweet alright!
January 2nd, 2015 at 7:15 PM ^
link?
January 2nd, 2015 at 2:54 PM ^
It's him, yo.
January 2nd, 2015 at 2:55 PM ^
I doubt he'll ever tweet anything, but I'm pretty sure it is his account.
January 2nd, 2015 at 2:56 PM ^
Ummm you obviously didn't see Harbaugh's twitter when he was at Stanford then. Dude is going to tweet and you will be in for a treat.
January 2nd, 2015 at 3:49 PM ^
And we can go for a walk on the street ...
January 2nd, 2015 at 2:57 PM ^
His twitter from when he was at Stanford.

judge judy not in his top 5 shows? fake fake fake
January 2nd, 2015 at 3:02 PM ^
Could this guy be the anti-Hoke in any other ways? Dude has some serious personality and humor. Presser transcripts could actually be really interesting to read again! WOW!
January 2nd, 2015 at 4:36 PM ^
I cannot, I repeat CANNOT, wait for the first time him and Drew Sharp get into it. I'm sitting here like a schoolgirl giddy with the anticipation...
That and any "what's your deal" exchanges with Dantonio.
Harbaugh is gonna make football season fun again!!!!!
January 2nd, 2015 at 3:10 PM ^
That SF gate writer completely misses the mark in his article. Jim Harbaugh's tweets aren't nonsensensical inner thoughts. In the past, he's actually put cryptic messages regarding the Stanford football program in his tweets. Here's an SI article I remember reading in 2010 about Harbaugh's Twitter account. Those thinking his Twitter account at UM will be pointless to follow should give this article a read:

it sounds like he no longer will be actively tweeting. That's a shame, some of those are great (if in fact they are real).
January 2nd, 2015 at 3:16 PM ^
Even if he never responds to more than a handful, the idea that he does at least make himself accessible in this manner is something I like, especially when he lets his personality shine a bit on his account. A minor but also refreshing change in attitude eminating from Schembechler Hall, I think.
I never, ever understood why Hoke wouldn't do this.
January 2nd, 2015 at 3:53 PM ^
Uhh...NFW
January 2nd, 2015 at 5:38 PM ^
in the middle of May! Only midwesterners (and especially Michiganders) do that. . .just goes to show imho that we could have had him four years ago . .. nauseating. . .
January 2nd, 2015 at 7:20 PM ^
Fantastic.
January 2nd, 2015 at 3:05 PM ^
It's him. I just gave him a follow.
January 2nd, 2015 at 3:23 PM ^
Wonder how many followers he'll get before his first tweet? He's already pushing 10,000
Edit: check that, 13,000 now
January 2nd, 2015 at 3:42 PM ^
after only another 20 minutes. It's rocketing up fast.
January 2nd, 2015 at 3:46 PM ^
Its over 18k now. I remember seeing yesterday a list of most followed college coaches, I think Jim is going to escalate the interwebs arms race, here.
January 2nd, 2015 at 4:02 PM ^
And I have my answer. 23,500 before the first tweet
January 2nd, 2015 at 4:35 PM ^
"[Harbaugh tweet": I sense opportunity in the air today. I saw the Greek god Kairos racing swiftly across the Stanford field in my dream last night. Be ready!
Rivals.com told me the commitment came a night earlier from 6-4, 220-pound Flushing, N.Y., receiver Devon Cajuste, who pledged to play for the Cardinal after a standout performance at Stanford's camp. This handy list of Greek deities told me that Kairos was the god of opportunity, or, more specifically, of the opportune moment. It also told me the god's name can be spelled Caerus. That version looks a little more like the mystery recruit's name. But Harbaugh hadn't dreamt it; Cajuste had made the most of his opportunity at the camp."

That's one impresssive Michigan Man!
January 2nd, 2015 at 3:09 PM ^
Even at Stanford his Michigan roots were evident.
The Jack Bauer tweet is hysterical too.
January 2nd, 2015 at 3:11 PM ^
It's an odd handle. Why not Coach Harbaugh or his name? That's what he used before.
January 2nd, 2015 at 3:19 PM ^
Yeah but it's rhymes. So why not.
January 2nd, 2015 at 4:33 PM ^
Digging the '4' in his handle!!!
January 2nd, 2015 at 7:36 PM ^
That part I like! The Coach Jim part threw me but in the end it doesn't matter. I hope he gets to 100k tonight!
January 2nd, 2015 at 3:11 PM ^
Because Michigan says so. It's real. RT @DanielStrauss4: @nickbaumgardner @CoachJim4UM how do we know? Account isn't verified
