The title is the only cool thing, but what a title.
Jim Harbaugh So Weird He Refers To Ohio State By Name
Edit: Why the negs? I thought it was interesting to see that the national media thinks Harbuagh is crazy (in a good way) even when he does absolutely nothing weird. Sort of fits the the Onion's meme of him sitting in every seat.
They're hicks. Not something to emulate.
I'm from a city!
Thay have towlets thur?
Terrible ones!

I'm sorry, the correct response was:
"Of course! I have an Igloo toilet and my buddy has a coleman toilet"
Ahhhhhh. Rite. He was saying "toilets." I thought he was saying "towels." I was born in Pittsburgh, so I was making a Terrible Towel joke.
That makes more sense, I didn't understand.

TTUN cause there is one called ohio
Michigan man...gone
Ohio...back in Athens, OH.
But hopefully Harbaugh is able to grow more Walmart Wolverines in Pasadena, Miami, Dallas and any other places the CFP will be held.
Question: Has Brady Hoke learned to use a computer yet and if/when he does will he immediately create an MGoBlog account?
I was always here....
Whatever year it was! Thought it was cool
Weird that a school that calls their stadium Ohio Stadium, has script Ohio, and yells O-H-I-O would be offended by being called Ohio anyways. Brady Hoke was the ultimate troll in that way.
And also takes the M out of every word and calls Michigan something besides Michigan.

actually have someone physically tape over all the M's on campus and change the name of a road for the week. Then the local news will report on it as if it's something creative. As a Michigan fan living just north of Columbus that whole week gives me a headache.
The ultimate troll? They laughed at him and begged for him to be retained.
I don't care what we call them. I don't care that they call us TTUN or whatever. People need to lighten up about these things that don't really matter. Are we going to magically start beating them now that Harbaugh calls them Ohio State? I'm not going to get up in arms if Harbaugh calls them "the school that lies about running back coaches" as long as we beat them.
I liked the whole "Ohio" thing. It pisses off buckeye fans who feel like they've done something to deserve our respect. I think I'm going to keep calling them Ohio.

thee ohio?
This thread is magical.
And the OP should feel bad.
Columbus cousin fuckers.
I am still partial to the Columbus Cooler Poopers.
Jim Harbaugh knows what he's doing.. We have nothing to say as of yet, prove yourself on the field.

Glad that's out and hopefully taking team whatever # with it.

The Team #, "Team 133" for example, has been used by coaches like Carr and before. Hoke was just the first to publicly recognize the team as such.
It's fine when the team uses it but made no sense at all when recruits used it.
The recruits are referring to the team they'll be on in the future. It's not that hard to understand.
Keep Jim Weird
negged for whinging about negs
On a crisp November day later this year I hope to call them "defeated"
Amen
As long as he beats them, I don't care if he refers to them as the second coming of Christ.

It doesn't matter to me either way.
This is also my entry for the mythical retag MGoBlog thread.
Just win games
Fear of a name only increases fear of the thing itself.

Call them Ohio STAEE. Then everyone can be happy.
..or he's just a normal human being
I don't care what he calls them out loud as long as he wears gloves when he puts his knuckle in the center of them!

"just ohio state" is simply the greatest.

The "I don't care as long as we just win games" and "just win" posts are so old. We all want to win... Post something a bit more insightful.

"We get it... The "I don't care as long as we just win games" and "just win" posts are so old. We all want to win... Post something a bit more insightful."
If you were referring to my post you didn't get it at all. It wasn't either of those things, I do care to some degree. I thought "Ohio" was dumb and didn't sound right (Even though "beat Ohio" is a traditional phrase). It's almost cute and tame sounding. I like hearing Bo's voice and cadence and emphasis in my head the way he said Ohio State, the big fearsome hateful monster that we love to hate and relish beating at all costs. I like Jim calling them Ohio State.
My post was riffing on Jim's semi-famous and infamous "Put the knuckle in the center of the asshole" refrain from his coaching clinic video. When I said I didn't care what he called them "out loud," the too obscure attempted joke was that he calls them Ohio State out loud but that really they are the assholes he needs to put his knuckle in the center of as he beats the shit out of them.
I don't know if that phrase is in this clip or just the "find the asshole" line because I have no sound, but here: http://deadspin.com/5978007/find-the-asshole-thats-where-that-knuckle-g…

For everyone who thinks that "Ohio" offends OSU fans, a hypothetical:
Three years ago Urban Meyer coins "that team up north". Half the OSU fan base zealously adopts the term, relishing the high degree to which they believe it offends us.
But would this really offend you? Contrived, institutional disrespect from a sports rival? I think we are all capable of grasping the context within which that "insult" is leveled.
First, I'd feel embarrassed for them because the whole herd mentality display of 'cleverness" and "burn-factor" is just so...middleschool. Second, it's frustrating when they mistake your frustration for being offended, and are oblivious to this point. You just wish you could make them esee themselves as you see them so that they would STOP.
That's what I think of "Ohio".

Urban Meyer did not coin that phrase.
