Happy Birthday to Mr. Hackett. I really appreciate what you've done so far. This has been a damn good beginning to what will hopefully be a long and successful association.

Bang me.
Toured the Big House today with a local school group. Walked the field, saw the locker room, suites, press box. Awesome! GO BLUE!

When he was a child, classmates attending his birthday parties were given puppies as party favors. While courting his soulmate, he spent three years in South Africa's Venetia Diamond Mine hand-digging for the perfect engagement stone. When his youngest son was bitten by a spider, he tunneled beneath his home to find the nasty biter and single-handidly developed the first brown recluse anti-venom. He may not always be an athletic director, but when he is, he will always be the BEST athletic director. Happy Birthday and Viva Lord Hackett!!

The reason why one of my uncles couldn't attend my wedding is because he was bitten by one. He damn near died.
I would bet Hackett feels like this about his birthday. Seems old school.
May the 'A' in 'Athletics' forever be capitalized!!
Best Wishes Jim and were glad your here....
With JH x 2, who has it better than us? NOBODY!!!
Holy crap. I just realized that "NOBODY!" can be a dual Harbaugh/Space Balls reference.
A.D that Michigan will ever see. Happy Birthday Mr. Hackett!
Give the man a bonus he's been cleanig the sheets pretty well since DB shat the bed.
Happy Birthday JH!!!! Gotta love how he has handled all the adversity and is putting us on the right path.

with all the awesome Harbaugh-mania going on all over campus, I've been thinking about how lucky Michigan is to have Jim Hackett right now.
Apart from hiring Jim Harbaugh (& allowing Harbaugh the $ & flexibility to assemble the staff he has) I think the biggest plus for Jim Hackett right now is his willingness to let Harbaugh be Harbaugh.
Harbaugh is seemingly everywhere at once, softball, baseball, ultimate frisbee, recuiting camps, interviews, etc. He's living the dream, and is obviously enjoying the hell out of himself (deservedly). He's got a big ego for sure, but backs it up with a big brain and a big heart so that although he pust himself in the spotlight 24/7, he's actually a genuine guy.
Can you, even for a second imagine Dave Brandon standing idly by not saying a word as Jim Harbaugh singlehandedly takes over Michigan athletics with an enthusiam unknown to mankind?
I'm not trying to start another round of DB bashing and it doesn't matter whether you liked him, or thought he drank unicorn blood by night; there's no way Dave Brandon lets someone else take center stage like this.
I'm sure Dave Brandon loves Michigan, but his love for Dave Brandon always seemed to get in the way.
I don't know how calculated it is, but right now Jim Hackett's doing all the right things I'm NOT hearing about.
