Jerryworld tailgate sept 2:

Submitted by tomcat on
2008 alumni here and I was hoping to see if there's any interest in creating an MGoBlog alumni tailgate for the game up at cowboys stadium. I'll be driving up from San Antonio Friday night. I don't know too much about the parking layout so your input for said location is appreciated. Go blue and lets represent.

Glad there's interest! Great info - we'll keep an eye on the weather and if we can put some tents together in the right location this should be a hit.

For the Bama game a few years ago a group of us parked at a church down the street and it worked out great. Half the price of the lots (maybe even less) there were trees and the church let everyone in to use the bathrooms as needed. There were plenty of spots too.

I'm throwing a tailgate at 715 Stadium Drive. Rented a trailer with tvs/stereo system, cooling fans, a bathroom, got some catered BBQ coming, a full bar (with a brunette bartender), and of course a keg or two of Stone IPA. I'm a UM alumni and my wife is a Gator, and we live in Dallas, so we have had this game marked on our calendar for two years. We will be flying a Big House Football flag and Michigan decor and no Gator gear (wife doesn't know this yet). Should have tons of food and alcohol, so all mgobloggers are welcome to stop by. Just mention my blog name.

There are some really good (yet admittedly expensive) tickets from the venue on the sideline of the Michigan section. Also, some cheaper tickets from the venue in the 200 level endzone of the Michigan section, a few single tickets are aisle seats in good areas.

Will be hanging out after as well to watch the FSU beat down of Satan and his minions. Just worried that there is a Rangers game that night....how they didn't reschedule it is beyond me

Will also be there. Debating an actual tailgate like we did for Alabama. That was made easier by a friend who drove with the tents and such. God that was hot AF though. Glad for an earlier start time this year. Meeting up with friend who did residency in my unit. Gator unfortunately, but a good one. Maybe will see some of you there. I'd be in for a group event.

Resuscitating and old thread....  I know.  Just bought a ticket in 132, no one I know was able to go and my wife wanted to go down there that weekend to visit her aunt.  Anyone else going to be in this section?  I'm hoping I'm not surrounded by UF fans.

My husband and I are flying in from MI on Friday and planned on taking an Uber to the game Saturday, this is our 2nd time going to a UofM game, but first time away. What are the rules for tailgating? Does it cost to get into the lots to hang out with fellow people even though we aren't parked there? I know the stadium has a $75 tailgate party but we were looking for something different.
