Something big is about to happen!

Not sure if this is even recruiting-related, but it's been a slow day waiting for camp reports and additional uniformed speculation seems kind of fun.  FWIW, he was tweeting with Tremendous about Wangler's offer yesterday.

Wow this is a major stretch. A guy not affiliated with Michigan tweets something vague and you assume it has to do with Michigan? Maybe Cass Tech practice is about to start.

Just saw that he and Tremendous were talking about Wangler yesterday, and it seemed related to me. Feel free to remove or downvote as you will. I'm fairly interested in most important Cass Tech news, as I think it generally relates quite a bit to Michigan.

He could be referring to the first taste test of a laboratory-grown hamburger, which happened this morning in London.

FWIW, Cass Tech 2015 trio, as well as Cole, Stallworth and a few other big name 2015 prospects are visiting MSU on Wednesday.

Cole, Stallworth, and Campbell were also just Crystal Balled (247 feauture) in the past half hour or so to MSU by Steve Wiltfong (National analyst). Most believe Campbell will commit to MSU tomorrow (shouldn't hurt Michigan as he wasn't really a top target).

This is starting to worry me. If this is true, this will be the third class in a row they got someone from the pipeline.

If we offered them or not, they are still getting into the school. Michigan did offer Deon Drake and Dennis Finley.

Sort of like how we are gaining ground with Glenville. Frank Clark in 2011 and Willie Henry in 2012 and suddenly, Michigan is in good standing with top prospects ohio's pipeline. If Michigan can get those two players, there is no doubt the pipeline has been at least tapped.

Losing Damon Webb for 2014 is certainly a huge blow. But if Michigan doesn't get Weber or Alabi in 2015, it's panic time.

Why are Michigan fans worried about a top CB going to Ohio State? Have you looked at Michigan's recruit list? Michigan replaced Webb with Jabrill Peppers. Get a grip. And also, you are going to "panic" if Weber or Alabi don't go to Michigan? Have you paid attention to the RBs, OL, and DL that have been recruited by Michigan? My goodness.

First, Michigan did not offer Deon Drake and offered Finley extremely late in the recruiting cycle. Losing Damon Webb was a blow. Those other two were not.

Michigan has extremely limited scholarships next year (2015). There are going to be talented players in the Midwest they will not be able to take. There is no way Michigan will have room for all of the likes of Brian Cole, Mike Weber, Josh Alabi, Tyriq Thompson, Jayru Campbell, David Moorman, and Kyonta Stallworth. Luckily, it looks like it will be a down year for elite prospects in the state of Michigan, but hopefully Michigan will get their share of the recruits that they decide to pursue aggresively.

There is no national elite recruit like a Damon Webb, Drake Harris, or Malik McDowell in the 2015 class right now. Maybe one develops in the next year, but it's probably not likely. The closest may be Brian Cole or Josh Alabi.

Webb has said that as of now that UM is only taking one RB. If that is the case than it appears that Weber doesn't have the option anymore. He was never going out of state. He wants UM pretty bad, so I am not really sure why he isn't waiing to see how UM's class plays season plays out to see if there is any RB attrition. Jayru Campbell probably was never going to get offered anyway. MSU recruitniks will sure have their fun with it though

While I respect Cass Tech's pipeline can anyone name me the top 3 impact players from Cass Tech at the University of Michigan?  And I am not speaking of Damon Webb who has proven zero on a college football field.  What players have become huge impact guys for us?  I don't mean Braylon Edwards, Charles Woodson, Desmon Howard level - I mean Ty Law, Amari Toomer, Ian Gold type talent.  And don't bring me Will Campbell - I am talking college truly impactful players. I cannot remember anyone who was not easy enough to find an equivalent of from countless other schools in the Midwest.  Clarence Williams might have been the best and it's not a name that goes down in the annals of Michigan history.  Frankly I'd much rather make inroads in some of those "pipeline" schools that end up in Columbus since the talent seems to perform far better at the college level.

From what I can tell Vernon Gholston is the best player ever out of that school and no matter what he did in the NFL he was a high impact college player. Unfortunately not at Michigan. Who else?  Joe Barksdale went to LSU - got drafted.  Where is the flood of talent we've been getting from Cass Tech?

I am not saying year after year - I am saying ever. And I said I am not speaking of the players in the first group - but players of the talent in the 2nd group.  Nothing like the 2nd group or even a notch below has arrived on the Michigan campus from Cass Tech. Columbus pipeline schools churn out guys like Pierre Woods, Ted Ginn Jr, Donte Whitner, Troy Smith, etc - that's just Glenville.  Now that's a pipeline and something to stress over if another school begins tapping into it.  (p.s. I'm a big Ty Law fan and think he is very overshadowed - each time someone compares Peppers to Woodson my comment is we should be thrilled if he becomes the next Ty Law)

Ty Law was a tremendous college football player. Not a good one, not a pretty good one, a tremendous talent. Look no further than his games vs Ohio State for evidence but his body of work is even larger than that. If you are speaking about Amani Toomer, he was the #1 rated player in the country out of high school according to ESPN The Magazine. Ian Gold was the starting linebacker on a national championship team. So no, Cass Tech hadn't had many players at those guys level. There haven't been many players at Michigan at those guys level in the last ten years.
