As insane as breaking Roundtree's record by more than 120 yards is, he also couldn't handle the low-but-catchable throw to start the game (15 yards or so?) and dropped one he could have caught downfield in stride (15 to 70+ yards?).

Bananas.

I salute you, Jeremy, and huge props to Devin, the O line, Fitz, and Funchess who all really set the place on fire today.

Looking at the Michigan All-Time receiving leaderboard, with that game (if my math is correct) Jeremy Gallon just passed Jack Clancy, Derrick Alexander, Mercury Hayes, and Desmond Howard.

He sits at 11th all time with 2156 receiving yards, just 7 behind Greg McMurtry.

His performance today simply wasn't good enough.

...in all seriousness, congrats to Devin and Jeremy, both balled out of control. Gallon's performance was amazing to watch.

No disrespect to Desmond's #21 but I would like to see Gallon awarded the #1 jersey. Not only has he been consistently good for his whole career, he just broke the Big Ten record but it would be totally appropriate for MSU to have to face another #1.

If he doesn't deserve it for all of this, who would?

Nice post. As a former coach the past two weeks have seen me run the gamut of emotions, from being pissed to being satisfied with a win. At a younger age the anger would have humbled me for a  longer period of time.  But now I realize, and this will piss a lot of people off, I realize RR was totally correct. We will win when we are ready. These were two of the most exciting games I have seen.  Hell, if Brady is meant to get us there, he will. If not, we start anew. Oh Hell no, twenty years ago I would have never said or felt this, but I can actually wait until the team is ready. After all, what else can we do?
