Man, I know he is small and not the fastest, but I really think these NFL teams are underestimating his abilities. I'm definitely no professional scout, but the man has a damn cloaking device.. That has to be worth something in the NFL!!! Right??

It's not over yet. I just don't believe he couldn't be a slot ninja for somebody. Glad to see he can at least earn some coin while still working on his craft.

College basketball players can make good money overseas even if they can't sniff the NBA.  I wish there was someplace where football players could go.  Also with his hands and shiftiness I can't believe Gallon would not help an NFL team.

I'm surprised at how much everyone is doubting him. I think it's pretty clear he was the Michigan offense last year.

I seriously have never heard of this.

Apparently it's another attempt at a minor league (beyond college), which makes sense (I guess) as the NHL, NBA and MLB have them.

But why would you teams in Brooklyn, Boston, Florida and Omaha? Put them all within driving distance, for pete's sake.

Beyond that, I more seriouisly surprised Gallon hasn't caught on with an NFL team. I can't believe someone with his quicks, hands and hops can't make a roster.

Why not walking distance or MTA distance?  Base all the teams in Boston.  Let them play at Boston University's Nickerson Field, the one-time home of the Boston Braves and the orignal home of the Boston Patriots of the American Football League. It's where the first AFL game was played on September 9, 1960.  Boston University no longer has a football team, so this league might satisfy those students who'd like to see some gridiron football.

He was always going to have problems in the NFL because of his size and relative speed issues, but maybe I'll catch a local game and see if he still has his rocket boots.

It's not like he was taller and faster than everyone in college and 'oh sorry son, now you're not the tallest and fastest so you can't compete in this league...'

no, he was shorter and slower than most (all?) DBs he went against and still broke Michigan's single season record by always finding ways to be open and catching everything. Dude could be a legendary slot ninja for a team

After watching Jeremy Gallon the last two years and watching the Patriots receivers flail about this year, I can't believe they couldn't find a use for him.

It was a little mysterious, because I never could find out what Gallon's injury actually was, but he was out until basically the last week of the Patriots' camp. Hard to make a team when you're not on the field to show your skills, no matter how much the Patriots current crop of receivers may stink. Kinda surprised they didn't stash him on their practice squad at least, but maybe they had more pressing needs on their roster.

I am surprised the Colts didn't sign him after his tryout there. Hope Jeremy sticks with it -- I agree with everyone here, the young man has the talent to play a solid role on an NFL team somewhere; just needs the right opportunity.

It's really a shame the Pats didn't hold on to him. The receivers who tend to really thrive in NE with Brady at QB are guys with sure-hands that run excellent routes...which are Gallon's best attributes. Plus the shared Michigan roots would make for a Brady/Gallon duo that's got tons of swagger

I thought for sure he would stick with New England. I remember saying they were the perfect fit for him when they drafted him.
