to you finest of blog monitors, perhaps my title could've used a bit more clarity. I'll be sure to maintain the greatest of standards when starting new threads in hopes of satisfying your grammatical appetite. Seriously man, is it that serious?

"The UCLA players really disrespected me before the game," Jefferson said. "When they saw me, they were all cussing at me, telling me to never come around Westwood again and things like that. These were guys that I had hung out with before and it was a lot of the team. I guess I kind of see it since I was committed there and was wearing USC gear before their big game but I still didn't appreciate it." Can you blame the UCLA players? Imagine if a Michigan commit went to The Game decked out in OSU gear, or vice versa. There would be some talking.

How in the hell does Pete Carroll have such a big fence set up around all of the California five-stars. You'd figure at least one of them would want to go somewhere else just to change things up. I wonder if UCLA's craptacular season had something to do with his de-commit.

I really like what are secondary is going to look like in 2010. Starting CB JT TURNER. 2ND CB JT FLOYD FREE. TROY WOLFOLK STRONG.VLAD EMILIEN Not to mention all the young talented studs such as marvin robinson, cullen christian, carvin johnson. It would be a real nice christmas if he chose michigan.

Turner may be great, but no one has seen him play and he'd be in his first year. Floyd has shown nothing so far. Emilien might be good but couldn't get PT this year despite a historic lack of talent at safety. Woolfolk was fine. That is not the makings of a strong backfield. Having said that, it's possible we could be better there given improvement and time, I'm just saying that on paper that shouldn't make anyone feel warm and content.

I don't have a good feeling about him, I think he ends up at USC, but he's changed his mind about 300 times now, so who knows. I also don't think he was just telling me that Michigan is still in it. Despite what it seems like from all his decommitments, he's looking at depth charts, and aspects that will affect him in the future. He really likes that we have a walk on at safety, for obvious reasons. It sounds like the USC coaches have done a good job convincing him that they have no depth at safety. They have about 7 returning next year. Like I said, I don't think anyone can predict where he'll end up, but he's deciding sometime in December, and enrolling early, where ever that might be.

He had stated earlier per ESPN that Oklahoma and USC were both recruiting him to play running back. Unless we want him as a running back it looks like he's made up his mind that he wants to play offense, and therefore won't be coming here.

From the Rivals article:
"I am thinking (of committing) sometime in December and if not, at the Army All-American Game," he said. "I just need a few weeks to think about it." As an early enrollee, Jefferson will not be signing an LOI. He simply has to enroll in classes at the school of his choice and sign scholarship papers. The dates for enrollment differ for each school he is considering. Jefferson would enroll at USC Jan. 11, Oklahoma Jan. 16 and Michigan Jan. 4. The Army All-American Bowl is on January 9.
I am not overly familiar with the rules/regulations of early enrollment, but was surprised by the sentence I bolded. I was not aware you could enroll at the school and sign scholarship papers, but not sign the LOI...can anyone clarify or debunk this?

This is true. You can't sign a LOI until signing day so for EEs to sign them before enrolling would be impossible. Technically, actually, you never have to sign an LOI. I've read some columns encouraging kids to buck the trend and to just sign scholarship papers.

Yeah, somehow I forgot about signing day and LOI's not being able to be signed until that day. Oops. I guess this answers my question. Maybe next time I'll just use my brain for a few seconds and I won't have to look silly.
