Jeff Van Bergen? and Defensive predictions?

Submitted by Umichmadness on

America's fav. commentator Kirk herbstreit jus said on CFL "Mike Martin and Jeff Van Bergen really need to step up on the DL this week".  Just thought that was funny, but on to business.  After NU, our defense is still only giving up 12.5 points and we already have forced 17 TO (19 all last year), but I know that we haven't faced MSU yet.  I think Mattison is going to hit Cousins early and it will affect him the rest of the game (a couple TOs).  I say 20 pts  How many do you think we give up to Lil Bro?

Also, who do you think steps up this week??  I think Mark Martin gets to Cousins and Countless steps up again....oops!

I think Freshman Hemmingway is gonna have a huge game. He's really stepped it up this year with Bartholomew Roundtree not contributing as much as everyone had hoped.

On SportsCenter this morning they were touting Robert Smith predicting a CFB upset over the weekend.

Can anyone guess who the to-be-upset team was???

This just in...... water is wet.

It'll be tough facing such an illustrious offense featuring Kurt Nephews, Edward Butcher-Candlestickmaker and Levitra Bell, not to mention [censored] Cunningham.

I'm partial to a few of the name blunders Terry Bowden made alongside Keith Jackson at the '03 Ohio game. A certain backup quarterback and current MLB pitcher was called "Richard Clayton," and "Richard Clayton" was playing catch that day with one "Braylon Jackson."

No wonder ESPN canned Bowden when they took over ABC Sports in 2006. Bowden went to Yahoo! to write a column for a while, and has since put on 100+ pounds and returned to coaching at Division II North Alabama.

So you think Coach Mattison is going to come off the sideline and hit Kirk Cousins?  While the scenario is certainly plausible, I think only Woody would attempt such a thing.

As much as people like Herbstreit and that D-bag Robert Smith annoy me, they get a pass because they went to one of the worst educational institutions in the country.  Our own stadium PA announcer, however, gets no slack from me. Carl GrapeJuiceTeen makes no less than 30 name errors per game. Hell, last year, he called Denard... get ready for it... John Navarre.  Are you effing me in the a$& with a stick?  HE is the last piece of the stadium renovation that we need to complete.  Total and utter FAILure on every level.  AT UTL he really screwed the pooch a couple of times, including leaving his mic open while he asked who played on Michigan's defense.  FACEPALM!

This is where on Monty Python the guy comes in and smacks someone with a rubber chicken and says , "Right, right. This is getting silly."
