My Dad is a Buckeye fan...and I've never even been close to being that. I love my Dad but sometimes you do things just to not be like your Dad. I hope he goes here but would hold nothing against him if he decided he didn't want to.

if my dad is the coach at some school that was recruiting me i would probably have little to no interest in attending that school. I would rather do my own thing, have my own coaches, and be able to grow into something that I would want to be.. that might not make much sense but in a reality.. who want's to do everything just like their father.. no one. I don't think Wheatley Jr ends up here at all. Just my opionion and i do not blame him at all.

This may be the case, but I just feel like if he ends up playing DE he wouldn't interact with his dad at all in football circumstances. Also, it's not like he is getting a nepotistic offer, given that he was also offered by Alabama etc. Also, I think you guys are being a little too dismissive regarding the idea that he would want to be a legacy recruit and be close to home. A vast majority of recruits end up pretty close to home and many recruits and students choose voluntarily to attend schools that family members have gone. I attend a graduate school where many of my classmates have parents who work at the school.

Do you have any statistics to back that up? Because I'm not sure what you're saying is true. While there are certainly coaches' sons who want to get away from their dads, there are also coaches' sons who want to play for or work for their dads. It all depends on the relationship. For example, Jeremy Jackson could have gone to other places to play football, but he chose to stay in Ann Arbor where his dad was the running backs coach.

I'm more curious about the experience of have TWSr going on the visits to other schools with TWJr.  That could be an interesting dynamic and a fun way to get an inside look at how other schools are recruiting one of UM's top targets.

I have to give credit to the kids who don't make a commitment until after the season if they don't plan to enroll early. Coaches change all of the time and a visit in January is probably very different than one in September. Smart move, imo.
