...if Jones chooses Michigan. Wouldn't mind another son of an NFL OL/Coach in Michael Grimm as an alternate. Either that or they remove Pallante's greyshirt. 2015 is already going to be a damn small class. Would also open up a slot for 2015 OL Chuma Edoga.

Doesn't sounds optimistic. But there are two things that still lead me to believe we got a shot.

1.) Brady Hoke

2.) You're not going to not commit to Michigan after visiting campus

Perfectly allowable, understandble, and matter-of-factly, pretty standard.  I dare say that his comprehension of the English language seems far superior to yours if we compare your comment to his (even with his stray "s" and the missing " 've").

The author of the article believes we are 3rd in a 3 school race.  Not a good place to be.

The pertinent paragraph:

Despite the positives, Michigan may be playing from behind to MSU and OSU. That’s a shame, because Jones is a serious talent. Although he’s coming off shoulder surgery this spring, he is one of the strongest linemen in the Midwest – or even the country – when healthy. The 6-5, 285-pounder is mobile enough to play inside or outside on the offensive line, a versatility which has landed him distinction as the country’s No. 97 overall prospect.

on today"s recruiting round up says the only way we don't get him is if Jones is more worried about the depth chart than he says.  Sam has MSU as the least likely.  Says Michigan and OSU staffs did a great job connecting with his mom and MSU didn't.  Said he would talk to Jamarco more today.

Not going to break my no Freep ban until they admit how wrong they were.  I simply don't care what they have to say until that happens.

There's nothing in that paragraph that indicates why we are behind...it just says that we are.  This article would be a lot more useful if it explained that rather than just saying it. Based on the quote earlier in the article, it sounded like he enjoyed Michigan a lot.

(meant in reply to the above paragraph about us being behind)

I've seen some people claim this kid favors MSU, others say OSU, and once in a while someone will point to UM. I think it's pretty clear, I'm going to go ahead and call this one: Jamarco Jones will commit to the University of Illinois.
