Nice read on Jamal Crawford- too bad he didn't spend more time in Ann Arbor.
Thank god. I thought k06em01 made a post about one of his alter egos to upvote.
Thought the same thing.
Jamal was really special to watch in his all-but-too-few appearances on the court as a Wolverine. His last game I turned to my buddy and told him I had a "gut feeling" (sorry Sam) that we wouldn't see Jamal in a Wolverine uniform again. I had heard that morning about an older Mercedes he was driving that he had gotten as a "gift" when he was back home.
The best word I could come up with for Jamal was smooth. His offense, ball handling and decision making on the court were so fluid. It was always fun to watch him go against the other team's top talent. Jamal would sometimes get shut down for awhile during the game and then it seemed he would decide he'd had enough and start dominating the game. I always got the sense that he KNEW he was better than the rest of the talent on the floor and would just bide his time.
To me, he was Gary Grant, Antoine Joubert and Manny Harris morphed into one. I'm glad to see he is having success in the NBA
