Jake is already a natural when it comes to the interview.  I know those weren't crazy hard questions to answer but knowing you're on national tv and crushing it like that, impressive.

Jake, the correct response was: "Jabrill is not really all that special yet. So he probably needs a lot more time in Ann Arbor to develop."

Seriously though, it's awesome when our players can showcase what Harbaugh has been building here.

Nice job by Jake. Maybe it is just me, but I find it strange that SVP asked Jake about another player, when he was interviewing him for only 3 minutes. Sure, ask questions about the team or about Jake, but it seems weird to ask about another player in this case. I know this is probably common practice, but I'm not a fan.

Do you really think Peppers is just another player?  He was on the cover of SI and the subject of numerous national articles about hybrid space defenders, as well as early Heisman hype. He's likely the only unanimously known Michigan player nationally, maybe with Butt himself a distant second.  Reporters ask about Peppers in literally every interview with every coach or player.  He just had his breakout performance in a game Harbaugh said we wouldn't have won with him.

So no, it's not that strange a show like SVP would ask about him.

You are the one who wrote "just" another player. Clearly, I know Peppers is amazing. However, Peppers was not the one being interviewed, so he is another player. If he wanted to speak about Peppers, why not just interview peppers. He had 3 minutes with Jake Butt, one of the best TEs in the country. Why not ask questions about Butt? Like O S Who said below, I too feel bad for the person being interviewed.

Eh, it would bother me more if Jake wasn't a 5th year senior and captain. He's up there representing the team, so it makes sense to talk about other guys that have had a significant impact on games. If they were interviewing Michael Jocz, for example, about his punt block or Hirsch about what it's like to be back on the field, then it would bother me a lot more.

Awesome fluff interview, still some solid questions and answers.

Crazy that we have the best TE and Athlete in the country on our team. The #1 recruit in the country to go along with a bunch of guys who've grown up and worked for the success they're having.

Oh, and we haven't even seen our CB who's top 2 in the country.

As the title suggests,

Having just finished a conversation with a French-speaking client, I first read this title as "Jake Butt on SportsCenter with s'il vous plaît."
