We should be happy we had him for the one year...kid is the total package.
I'll believe it when I see it. ala Slovin vs Kitchener Rangers.
Yeah...it seemed unlikely at times that he even was going to come here at all, his one year here (team-wise) was a huge disappointment though he showed some signs individually. With the way things were going at the end of the season, I thought there would be some incentive to come back but money talks. Him and Pacioretty will always leave me thinking what if...
IT'S NOT CONFIRMED YET!!!!!!

.....balls
Can't hold someone back when it's so obvious they are ready for the next level. Good for him!
Unfortunate, but expected. Hopefully Trouba decides to... wait a sec...
Michigan source who would know: Nothing official, but Trouba plans to sign with Winnipeg. Official announcement likely tomorrow.

Interesting. I thought he was leaning towards staying. Good luck Jacob.
I think the best we saw was 60-40 which is basically a 'I dunno'. I'm bummed, but cannot say I'm surprised or that he isn't ready.
I won't freak out until it's official but I am a little surprised. If he was going to leave I thought it would have happened last week. I was getting exponentially more optimistic with each day that passed after the season ended.
I'm proud to be signing with the @nhljets. Looking forward to starting my career with a great organization. #gojetsgo

Thank you to @umichhockey, my coaches, and my teammates for a great year. It has been a blast. Forever a Wolverine. #goblue

We'll miss him, but it's tough to argue with anybody with that potential who makes that choice.
Hope he likes Phantom of the Paradise.
If a 19-year old kid can truly not benefit from spending more tha six months on a college campus, then he wasted his time coming here in the first place.
OK, that does it! I'm moving to a shadow where all the hockey & b-ball players with eligibilty stay at Michigan!
a brutal sport, with such a potentially short window to make a career. Can't blame him if he has the total package ready for the NHL.
Shouldn't come as much of a surprise after the Jets had six or seven organization members at the CCHA title game.
Whatever, I figured he was leaving anyhow. Next.
wettest of blankets.
I'm bummed I won't get to see any more of his slapshots. Towards the end of the season I pretty much assumed a good Trouba-powerplay-slapshot would go in just like those early season Nik Stauskas 3's. They were just gonna go in the net and when they didn't you were kind of like "...oh...that was weird"
