UPDATE 2: USA loses to Russia 2-1. it was a hard fought game with a lot of chances for both sides. It will be interesting to see how both of these teams fare as the tournament continues.

UPDATE 1: 3rd period. Russia up 2-1. See comments for Touba's goal from today as well as his goal against Germany.

Trouba just had an amazing power play shift ending with a huge blast from the point to tie it up against Russia in the World Juniors. The game is on right now, and it's been awesome so far. The 2nd period is winding down and it's tied 1-1.

UPDATE: see the post below for the goal from today against the Russians.

Here is his goal against Germany that was mentioned in a post yesterday.

Second period just ended. If you're not doing anything you should definitely try to catch the 3rd period, it should be a good one!

Figures.

First Michigan Man since Botterill and Chris Tamer and the stinking team moves to Winnipeg before I can see a Wolverine playing for an NHL team in my hometown.

Useless bit of trivia:  The last goal ever scored in an Atlanta Thrashers game was potted by Mike Comrie, actually his first of that season.
