a former running back of some repute.
I want to wake up to a Fred Jackson alarm clock.
FJAC: "Good morning His Dudeness, you are a great man. The greatest man I have ever seen. You are going to be victorious over this day. I know Steve Jobs and you are pretty close. By the time you retire I think people will say His Dudeness and Steve Jobs in the same sentence. Get your pants on and get out there."
this made me chuckle
Where may I purchase said product? As of late, I have been battling low self esteem, and this seems to be just the solution I've been looking for.
There is probably already an App for that.....
When I think of the entire Jackson, I imagine something like the Paul Bunyan trophy. However, the Fred Head could be quite a seller.
More motivational than Tony Robbins!
the motivational master that is Jack. Guys want to go to war for those who believe in them.
I never thought of Hopkins as Chris Perry. I always think of Perry as more of a Minor type, with more speed. Hopkins reminds me of Wheatly, but not quite as fast. It just seems like an interesting comparison.
as aspiring to be more of an A-Train back. Wheatley had sprinter speed and Perry was very quick. I see Hopkins as more of a power back like A-Train, plain and simple. I think that's what we have in Hopkins and that's how he should model his game; see the hole and power through it.
Gotta be quick, no more bruisers for this team
Gotta be big and quick, the A-Train was great going downhill, but I don't know how he would have been on the read
Owen Schmitt would like to have a word with you
I don't think that guy can speak because he speaks with emotion and feelings. Instead of saying, "o I'm really upset with myself over that last play" he bashes his head with the helmet. Gotta love players who put it all on the line like he does
= Hoard. As in "The Leroy".
when I looked for a comparision too. Doesn't matter much, not a bad one in the bunch!
There can be only one king.
Leroy is closer but maybe a better example is Ed Shuttleworth. Even though he was a fullback in Bo offence ('71-'73), he did lead the team in rushing his last couple years.
I was thinking he'd say A-Train too.
Not to be an armchair doc, but I wonder if Lewan's concussion-like symptons might have originated with his carry. Looks like his head hits the ground in a (un)funny way when he goes down.
He does have a long way to fall from his height. Seeing the tackle again, it made me nervous for his knees if he gets another carry, since there seems to be only one way to tackle someone of that size.
But the grass was pretty soft, and it didn't seem like he hit hard.
It makes me happy to see all the good kids we're assembling on this squad, it's sort of striking how genuine they all seem. Plus, they don't seem to be stupid, so that's nice.
I don't think I've ever seen an interview with Hopkins. He looked really comfortable in front of the camera. I love hearing the team talk! Every one of them makes for a solid interview.
I have (maybe spring, but before the season) and it was solid, very solid.
First the concussion, and then he becomes the first Michigan ballcarrier in 30 years to NOT receive glowing reviews from Fred Jackson.
At the very least, he could have thrown him a "Lewan is like Navarre, but faster" bone.
i'm fully convinced that listening to fred jackson talk may be better than 50% of the sex i've had in my lifetime
There has to be a "Sex with MarcM is like ______, but faster" joke in there somewhere.
_____ = every running back on Michigan's roster, according to Fred Jackson
Close your eyes and listen to Fred Jackson, how much does he sound like Karl Malone????
With Dee Hart coming next year, scary!
