Jabrill Peppers speaks to the media today....
He makes some great comments about defensive preparation, and some interesting comments about BYU talking trash directly to him during the game:
September 28th, 2015 at 9:05 PM ^
Our team did the most talking...with that 0 hanging up there for all 60 minutes.

eternity

Love seeing DJ's reaction on the sideline when Jabrill, or anyone on the defense for that matter, makes a big play. Jacks me up.
September 29th, 2015 at 8:27 AM ^
and it seems like his attitude is contagious, pretty fun to watch.
September 28th, 2015 at 9:07 PM ^
I can't wait til we unleash him on offense vs MSU. The crowd will ERUPT when #5 jogs on the field.

I am also thinking Harbaugh is saving the Peppers package for MSU
September 29th, 2015 at 7:46 AM ^
The real question is how will he be deployed in that package. Let the speculation begin! I feel like he'll be the guy in the jet sweep play.
September 29th, 2015 at 10:04 AM ^
My guess is Pepper's first snap on offense will be misdirection. With everyone focused on Peppers, Rudock will fake the handoff and heave a short pass to a wide open TE or receiver (hopefully for a big gain). Peppers will jog back to the sideline with a smile on his face.
September 29th, 2015 at 9:20 AM ^
People complain about not getting second half points but I love how Harbaugh pretty much turns the play calling off once we've gotten up big. I for one (million) can't wait to see a screen to peppers. Just watching his punt returns, hasn't busted one open yet but man does he look good anyway. He's juking people out they've just done a good job of getting enough players to him. He's going to be deadly on bubble screens.
September 29th, 2015 at 11:12 AM ^
his spin move is off the charts. other athletes are better or more gifted in certain areas but that dudes spin moves are really impressive.
not sure how effective hed be on offense with limited reps in scaled down packages since Ds would obviously key him but its only a matter of time before he houses a punt. if they want him to see time on O itll likely be plenty of decoys to start - and he could clear out some decent space for others. but harbaugh and crew are sharp enough that if they wanted to they could eventually single him up on LB or S out of the backfield and thatd be the ideal situation
September 28th, 2015 at 9:47 PM ^
That would be stupid. Wait to erupt until he actually makes a play. It's possible that MSU wouldn't be ready for him coming out on offense and would be scrambling to get the right guys in the right position. If the crowd erupts then they're gonna know why and they're gonna key in on him.
September 28th, 2015 at 10:27 PM ^
I know their defense has taken a step back without Narduzzi, but come on man.
They're not going to need the crowd cheering to notice that #5 is on the field.
September 29th, 2015 at 9:31 AM ^
"Yeah, it's me. Mr. Lineman. Yeah. Hi. Just a lumbering lineman, not the best athlete on the field or anything, nothing to be worried about. I'm just here to make your last hours on Earth as peaceful as possible."
September 29th, 2015 at 12:29 AM ^
Sure, the MSU defense requires crowd noise for their keys. They can't read numbers or listen to their coaches in the many weeks before games.
Can you at least pretend to understand football before you comment?
September 29th, 2015 at 9:48 AM ^
I mean I've seen teams scramble trying to get everyone on the right guys when someone they don't expect comes on the field before...but whatever.
September 29th, 2015 at 10:14 AM ^
You straight up missed the point. It's highly unlikely that crowd noise will alert MSUs defense to Peppers being on the field.
September 28th, 2015 at 9:16 PM ^
Go on and motivate Jabrill. He will find you.
September 28th, 2015 at 9:24 PM ^
Whatever you did, the embed is working in the OP. What dark magic did you conjure to acheive this feat?
September 28th, 2015 at 9:20 PM ^
He's gonna be a dandy
September 28th, 2015 at 9:26 PM ^
I see him more as a fop myself
September 28th, 2015 at 11:21 PM ^
Well, I don't want Fop, goddammit. I'm a Dapper Dan man.
September 28th, 2015 at 9:22 PM ^
He's an impressive young man. I'm glad he's on our side! Loved when he said he lets his pads speak for him. It's also nice to hear Harbaugh's message about not getting caught up in the jawing that goes on.
September 28th, 2015 at 9:24 PM ^
I can't imagine that lasted beyond the 1st quarter
September 28th, 2015 at 9:51 PM ^
So here we have a team talking about how religious they are and giving sermonettes at their Friday night church rallies, only to talk trash that Peppers described as "vulgar" and "in depth."
Hypocrisy, anyone?
September 28th, 2015 at 9:58 PM ^
it's a wonder they get anyone to convert
September 28th, 2015 at 10:29 PM ^
In fairness, I doubt the door to door bike missionaries are doing any dong punching.

If they screamed profanity at me and threatened to punch me in the balls, I might convert.
September 28th, 2015 at 10:47 PM ^
that sounds like a more interesting religion than anything I've had anyone try to sell me on. :)
September 29th, 2015 at 7:29 AM ^
Having lived in Utah, I'm not terribly surprised. No one covers a cesspool of behavior with a thin veneer of piety like BYU.
September 29th, 2015 at 10:58 AM ^
Heh, reminds me of a time I was young (I was like 12) and went to Indiana on vacation. There was a golf kart track at the campground site in which I was participating in. There was a huge van full of amish men there. One guy (had to be at least 40) was absolutely pissed that I spun him out and called me some pretty vulgar stuff. I then proceeded to make it my mission to spin that asshat out whenever I had the chance.
It was weird to me that they knew such profanities (they weren't your simple profanites) being amish and all.
September 28th, 2015 at 10:25 PM ^
a long time ago and he said the worst trash talking team he ever played against was ND.....gotta love the Mormons and Catholics, eh? :)
September 29th, 2015 at 9:07 AM ^
You'd be surprised. Sometimes players get worse about it as the scoreboard gets more and more out of hand.
September 28th, 2015 at 9:25 PM ^
He is so great. Dude is gonna be in the NFL someday. Hopefully not before his eligibility is completed.
September 28th, 2015 at 9:36 PM ^
He said previously he isn't leaving Michigan without his degree first, so we should have him for at least 2 more seasons.
September 28th, 2015 at 9:49 PM ^
He might be telling the truth, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
If he's good enough to the point where, after next year, he's staring a multi-million dollar NFL contract in the face, I won't blame him one bit if he leaves. He can always finish his degree in the offseason.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have him through his senior season, but if he lives up to the hype and becomes a bona fide first round pick for the 2017 Draft, it'd be awful hard to turn that money down.

Also he's a pretty smart kid, and with a red shirt (more time for studies) I bet he could graduate in 3 years if he wanted to.
September 28th, 2015 at 9:34 PM ^
again made some great hits this past Saturday. Between those hits and his special teams duties, he's a highlight reel waiting to happen---and that's without getting on the field on offense yet.
September 29th, 2015 at 6:36 AM ^
I nearly did cartwheels and threw my three year old across my living room when he grabbed that BYU receiver and threw him to the turf. It was epic for us and demoralizing for them.
It felt like the old days. I still think 15-0 is possible....sips maize coffee
September 28th, 2015 at 9:43 PM ^
Need Peppers to asplode!!! I feel dilithium everywhere....can't control the powerrrrrrrr!
It's happening SOON. Prepare your minds.
September 28th, 2015 at 9:52 PM ^
Saigon, just a warning...we're playing the Terps on Saturday. That little turtle in your profile might get caught up in the explosions so be careful with him!
September 28th, 2015 at 9:55 PM ^
Thatd'd be a wolverine, not a turtle. If my eyes are still what they used to be......
September 28th, 2015 at 9:57 PM ^
LOL wow I need to put my reading glasses on before getting on the site. I had the head and tail reversed...it does look like a turtle if you squint your eyes.
Thanks for setting me straight!
