What did Cobra say? His posts have been deleted or something. I can't see them. Only people responding to them. If it's the cobra I'm thinking of, he's been to a handful of practices. I've met him there. Haven't seen or heard him post in awhile but I distinctly remember him telling me he posts under the name cobra something last year. Has to be the same guy

I wasn't there, but I'm sure the majority of fans were booing Hoke and staff, not the players. But still, it kinda goes against Peppers mantra of accountability. If the fans were booing, that would signal the work put it wasn't enough. or that Hoke just was a miserable failure as a coach who is payed to win.

The difference is Harbaugh is hard on his players to get better and on here people are hard on them because they have a beef with them because they dropped passes and since Funchess dropped passes at Michigan I'm going to root against him to succeed in the nfl.

This is the reason I don't boo tho. It was absolutely deserved TOWARDS the coaches. I just wouldn't do it for this fact, the players thinking it is towards them.

Why is everything Peppers does news? The kid has barely played at Michigan and in his short time he has done nothing! He did tackle an Appy State guy at the knees and everyone wet their pants over it. Is it because he was the # 2 recruit? I mean guys like Wheatley, A Train, Rickey Powers, Woodson, Bowens, Marcus Ray they did shit as Freshman! Hell Bowens was a one man wrecking crew as a Frosh. This kid isn't even in the same category as these guys Freshman year.

Hahaha. Yep I'll shut up because you said so. You got me. It's clear you struggle with what really has gone on with this program since Carr left. It isn't all on coaches fellas. These players need a huge wake up call.

I have a hard time believing a 20 something y.o University of Michigan student can't determine who the boos were aimed at. If you have to take an "us vs the world" type of approach for motivation, then so be it. But don't make it seem like the fans weren't in full support of the players. We're just not supporting mediocrity from the staff, and as someone who I would hope doesn't want to be mediocre, he should understand.

While I'd like to think the boos were directed at the staff and not the players, I totally get it, Jabrill.

Don't play for us chump fans. Play for each other. You're the ones out there busting your asses together every day.

Do people seriously think that when boos are coming from the crowd, that the players are thinking "ah well those are for the coaches, not us." If you think the players shouldn't/don't take it personally, you're kidding yourself.

That's really unfortunate, I wasn't at those games but I really hope they were booing specific coaching decisions rather than just when something went wrong.

With that said, it's obvious that this experience stuck with Jabrill, but I'm glad he's using it to motivate him. Sometimes in life you have to experience the bad to truly appreciate the good. I hope it makes it that much sweeter for him when he finds success here.

And another thought, I realize he took it harshly, but like they say, it's better to have a parent that lets you know when you screwed up rather than one who doesn't say anything. The fact that fans booed isn't exactly ideal, but at least it shows that the bar is set high here and there is a culture and expectation to win. Do you think Purdue fans boo and lose heart when their team keeps losing and reaches new lows? No, they just stop showing up and stop caring (if they did to begin with).

Good god. It's a metaphor. I meant to say I'm sure Jabrill will come to realize that fans that boo when they know that the team can do better are better than fans who simply stop giving a shit. The ones who boo still care, they just aren't channeling their emotions in the most thoughtful way.

A parent being stern with their kid because they have a personal relationship and will stand by them and help them improve and whatever they're doing wrong is a terrible metaphor for an angry forty year old stranger yelling at a kid he doesn't know for not making him happy.

Booing at the collegiate level is classless, embarrassing and shameful. I don't care how bad it gets, you should have the integrity and discipline to not boo young men doing their best to represent Michigan. Everyone of those players felt as those boos we're directed at them. I was angry when it happened and Peppers comments reminded me just how despicable it was.

We will find out this year if last year's coaches were worth booing. My money is on Drevno doing better with the o-line.
