The Spartans have signed a 2014 point guard from Kansas, and his name is Lourawls "Tum-Tum" Nairn. I am sure he is a good hoops player, but that name--I be like dang.

Actually, Lou Rawls died in 2006. But you are correct that he didn't sing with VU.

I'm not really a music scholar (as fully evidenced by this thread), buit I think Velvet Underground is considered one of the most influential bands ever--like, probably in the top 10 or top 5 or something.

All the sites agree that this is an excellent pickup for Michigan State, and here is the PrepForce page for him with a number of videos, if anyone is interested - HERE. According to the Sporting News, he averaged 8.4 assists against "high level competition", which was ahead of most other 2014 PGs that they looked at HERE.
