So, against ND I was pretty apathetic to the piped in music. Some good, some eh, but nothing terrible.
Today was terrible.
Kid Rock? I like Kid Rock, but that seriously was painful to hear. It was way too loud with those terrible speakers which made it sound like something slightly worse that two-year olds crying while scratching their fingernails on a chalk board while listening to the OSU fight song.
They played Seven Nation Army approximately 6 times, which, GOD GET SOME ORIGINALITY!!!! Eminem was probably played 3-4 times.
Several times they played a song for no more than 15-20 seconds. Really, if they are going to do this they need to know what is going on and when they should start playing and when they should just wait. Hint: Playing Seven Nation Army for 15 seconds before IU's 1st and 15 is unnecessary. This resulted in the fans, especially students, being distracted and not getting loud for the defense.
Bob Seger: Yes.
Twist and Shout: Yes.
Piped in music between every play b/c the band is moving to the field: No.
Save it for TV timeouts, PLEASE!
