Its sounding like we hit a homerun with Iman "Biggie" Marshall" (& Jabrill moving to safety)...

Submitted by MDot on

...to the point where Rivals' west-coast analyst Adam Gorney is saying he's not very hopefull Iman Marshall ends up at USC. He's gushing about Harbaugh.

A lot of it is behind a paywall, but this quote stands out (I also posted in another thread):

Five-star CB Iman Marshall: "I feel like #Michigan is really going to be revolutionary."

Update - Jabrill told Iman he's moving to safety. Has been hinting it on twitter as well.

Come on man...its that drug called Harbaugh and its a beautiful thing...

Seriously, the fanbase is on a high which is to be expected when you consider the last decade of UM football. So, yeah, EVERYTHING looks good right now...It hasn't felt this good to be a fan in a long, long time...

Until he signs on the dotted line, but would it not be cool to have a Biggie and a Breezy in the same secondary ? I would still like to see them get Marcus Lewis, or Taylor in 16 for the dime package.

Marcus Lewis is out of play - Kentucky, Miami and WSU are his final 3.

The kid who decommitted from Stanford seems to be crystal balling to Notre Dame - a bit surprised by that.  I think that 3 star corner from SC will be the CB.  We'll see.

Peppers is a natural S but I am concerned who our 2nd corner is.  I hope its Stribling with 15 lb on him and Blake stays at nickel.

If Peppers moves to safety to play alongside Wilson, who do you guys think would start opposite of Lewis? I hope Countess can bounce back from his rough '14 and take back the corner spot that we all thought he would have locked down by senior year. Still, who do we have to play corner besides those two and Stribling (and Peppers if he's more needed there) for next season?

Yes it is surprising to me.  Blake is not a press corner if we are going to press.  Strribling didnt gain any weight last year - he needs to get off that 175 lb area.  He has the length, needs some strength and bulk.

I think Peppers is needed more as CB for 2015 and then could go to S in 2016 simply because I dont know who the 2nd corner is.  Also teams play a lot of nickel so it raises questions of backup CBs.  Maybe they are expecting their freshmen CBs to play immediately as backups.

Brandon Watson is the other guy who comes immediately to mind as a RS FR.

And insert another safety. That's not all that unusual to me. This does put a bit of a logjam at the safety position though. My guess is they weren't particularly excited about the man coverage skills of the safeties from last year and want someone a bit more dynamic and versatile back there, but do they bulk up one of Thomas or Hill and move them down to LB?

I dunno, it'll be interesting what shakes loose in Spring ball.

I honestly think Taylor graduating will help our secondary. He always gave a huge cushion and u could hitch on him all the way down the field. I like Lewis and Stribling as the starters. Countess at nickel if he can get his head out his A#$.

Actually I think the initial was the right interpretation but I don't buy it. He said he's not hopeful in a response to a tweet about "we know he's going to USC". Maybe I'm looking at it wrong tho. I think it's 1/100 at best that he ends up a Michigan.

I assume some lurkers on this board knew Larry from his playing days at UM.  If you do, could you tell him to NOT TWEET AT RECRUITS
