"The University of Illinois is also in turmoil. The university sports an Interim Chancellor, an Interim Athletic Director, and an Interim Football Coach; the game will be played at Soldier Field, making this an Illini Interim Home Game."
Sorry, way too excited to stick around more than a few seconds. Glad it works though, +1 for putting it up.
Man I'm jacked after that. HUGE game from Evan that I hope won't get lost in the shuffle today. 4-6 from the field and 5-5 from the line including two big FTs towards the end of the game.
But screw it. This thread needs additional Sparty-specific Muppets:
And that is very appropriate. (And a classic).
That was a great game to watch... GO BLUE!!!
WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! From Korea, Go Blue!!! I never thought I would see the day when we lead Michigan State for a whole game. Morgan's dunk was a nuclear blast to Lucas's face!
and the M win... and Jack and Coke and getting paid and that girl I was with last night!
The smile I get when the MUPPETS ARE POSTED!!!!! sorry little brother
well just one thing to ask...whats with the muppets? i have always wondered but never asked.....that cheerleader has wonder jazz hands lol
The tunes they're playing? :-)
What a game! The atmosphere at Crisler was fantastic - one of the best I've ever experienced there. (Actually, one of the best gameday atmospheres anywhere, period.) Michigan fans came through - the MSU contingent was the smallest I can remember (probably not more than several hundred, and they were a non-factor). And the game was fantastic. It got a little hairy when it was a two-point game with five minutes left, but the team kept its poise and executed the offense to perfection on the next possession (the pick and roll to Morgan). And for the most part, we drained our FTs. What a refreshing change after years of disappointment under Amaker. It's like a terrible dream is finally over.
At the end of the game, the team gathered at midcourt to sing "The Victors" with the crowd (and band). Awesome.
From my TV vantage point: Maize-Out gets a B+, I still saw too many blue shirts in the audience but the Maize Rage looked good for the most part. Fan representation gets an A, I barely saw any green shirts and I only heard cheering for Spartan buckets a few times. Noise is A-, but I wasn't there so that could be the TV experience talking. I also like how singing "The Victors" with the fans appears to be catching on. I hope we add that to the list of cherished M traditions.
