It's great to be michigan wolverine!
D-Fence! D-Fence! D-Fence!
Welcome to the club.
Maybe you can use your education in education to educate Brian about how much I need a Hello post on Mo Ways to read on this lovely, but so far incredibly boring Friday.
I think we underestimated the OP.
He did. I am already on a tenure track line at a university.
Whenever a dissertation is successfully defended, the committee should have a recording of the MMB version of Temptation ready to go.
Muppet Temptation and War Chant!
Hopefully it wasn't in literature. But really, congrats, it's a great feeling.
C'mon! It's not that bad.
Is busy getting the BBQ sauce off his hat in preperation from yesterday...
that I came back for grad school do feel it again. Welcome to the Alumi family.
congratulations! that's quite the accomplishment. make sure you have a celebratory beer or cocktail this weekend to celebrate how far you've come.
Welcome!!!!! You are now a member of the most prestigious and distinguished alumni family on planet earth.
Wherever you go next, make sure to hook up with your local alumni club.
Just out of curiosity, what was your dissertation?
I looked at the way student teachers use complex historical teaching practices once they go into their full time internships.
And might I suggest that you change your user name to "Dr.Sheepman"?
Strange, with that username, I would've pegged you for veterinary medicine
Call Dr. Spaceman!
Congrats Dr. Sheepman!
Successful defense? Must not be a beeline fan...
I hope your education serves you well and you are able to quickly find a career that compliments your years of study. Congratulations!
Congrats man, welcome to the alumni association. Now just wait a couple hours and the alumni donation emails will start pouring in!
Welcome to the club, my friend.
I never cease to be amazed at the doors that have opened as a result of my U of M degree. Now: walk through and make something happen.
Congrats and GO BLUE!
DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS.
I remember mine well. A most satisfying day.
As my MGoGift of congratulations, you have been awarded 500 MGoDoctoralPoints (in lieu of a drink on me or something along these lines)!
Welcome to the wide, wide world of Michigan alums!
Just another reason to love mgoblog. My wife always said if my diss was on mgoblog and umich football I would have been done in two years instead of 6.
Congrats on your accomplishment...well done and Go Blue!
My only regret is that I received but one degree from this great institution. Congratulations on your defense, an incredible accomplishment indeed.
Expect to see multiple entries in the thread "FRIDAY WHAT ARE YOU DRINKING?" from you.....enjoy
Congrads, now put that phd in education to use and take my order at Zingermans! Sorry, but all of my teacher friends are hating life right now. My buddy teaching at Ypsi high had to reapply for the job he has had for 10 years.
Like everybody else already said. congratulations. That's a hell of an achievement.
This is relatively minor, but I managed to pass my comps exams for my PhD program today. Maybe I had some good MGoMojo.
By the way, my background is education, and my PhD will be education-related. Can you tell me what your field and project are?
I am a social studies teacher educator. I work with novice teachers in the field and in the teacher Ed classrooms. Recently got a tenure track faculty position in the Detroit area. Loving life.
Oh, and passing comps is far from minor. Good show man!
Congrats, I'm actually designing an upgraded mechanical system for the School of Education Building right this second, good to know people actually use that building for something.
Congratulations fellow Ph.D.! It really is an accomplishment when you think about all of the late nights of writing, studying, etc.
I also defended my dissertation a little less than a year ago and am looking forward to being back in AA to walk next weekend!! Go blue!
Great news for you too!
finish you disseration. Are you going to require a walker or a Rascal (TM) to accept your sheepskin?
Nice job! I am a Dental School Alum 1996.
I preffer studying when to do a restoration on #1-32 much more than treating pink eye also.
And Go Blue!
