Does anyone else think like me in that, I'm sittting here realizing how nervous I get for my team to play a huge game, then I think about about the people who are actually going to be playing or involved in the game, and end up thinking to myself, "You hot mess, get over yourself, the God D*mn players are probably sound asleep, in good spirits, and you're acting like the end of the world is near". Anyone? Just me? Can't help it though. I am a nervous nelly in these late hours.
I will admit I'm still a bit bummed about the Nebraska game. I think it has to do with how the game went down and how close Iowa was to pulling off the upset, that makes it a bit more unsettling; the game in 8.5 hours could have been much more important. It's still important and it's still Ohio, I fully understand. I'm not sayin' I'm just sayin'...DAMMIT IOWA.

This is Christmas for me. When you grow up certain things lose their luster like the actual Christmas, birthdays, and pro sports, but THE GAME is always special. It brings me back to a young boy watching this game with my dad. It's about good versus evil and right versus wrong. I can't freaking wait. Go Blue!

Yep, that sums it up. We play a lot of schools that we don't like and the feeling is mutual. But when we play Ohio, it really does have the feel of something more than just a game. Our guys aren't playing just for us or the university. For this game, they are a symbol. They are a representation of what is right and good. Not just because we are Michigan. But because they are Ohio. The ideology they perpetuate is a blight and darkness on sports and education. Because we are playing them today, we are good. There is no other way to define the opponent of evil.

Be REALLY careful; I have caused my daughter to burst
into tears a number of times, starting at a very early age, by jumping up and screaming over big plays during Michigan games. I think I might have f'd her up a little. Now she makes me promise not to yell when she brings her rats in to play on the bed during games.
Just a little fatherly advice.
EDIT: Congratulations, by the way! My daughter has brought me worlds of happiness. She cried when the Michigan women lost their NCAA round of 16 soccer match to PSU on PKs, so I am not doing everything wrong, I guess.
