I would imagine that if both teams roll into week 5 undefeated that gameday will be there. perfect game for it too. The talk of college football Michigan vs an Iowa team that just knocked off PSU and people want to know more about. Plus, its a night game too!! the best match up is Bama vs Ole Miss, but i think America is getting tired of the SEC

We should be rooting for Georgia against LSU next week if we want ABC. If LSU wins, #1 Florida vs. #4 LSU will take precedence over Michigan vs. Iowa. If either Michigan or Iowa lose, I am sure they will take the other game as well.

If I am not mistaken, CBS' contract with the SEC gives them first choice of SEC games and prohibits games from airing on any other national broadcast networks, such as ABC. Obviously, ESPN is an option. I don't recall ever seeing a game between two SEC schools on ABC in the past few years.

CBS has first choice of games involving an SEC home team every week. ABC can't air SEC games, but ESPN and ESPN2 can. ABC/ESPN can't pick what goes on ESPN until CBS does if it wants a shot at an SEC game. CBS is airing a primetime game the week of Oct 10 (http://www.cbssports.com/cbssports/schedules/page/collegefootball) and Florida-LSU is scheduled for that time. I don't see any other big SEC games that CBS would choose for the primetime time slot even if Georgia wins this week ('Bama-Ole Miss was a prime matchup, but not after Ole Miss' loss). There is still a small chance that a Michigan loss this weekend means ABC televises two primetime games and Michigan gets rgional ABC coverage, but I don't see any primo Pac-10, ACC or Big 12 matchups with a primetime or TBA start date. BC @ VA Tech could really screw us East coasters though. Ga. tech at Florida State, too.

Iowa plays Arkansas State next week, which means they will still be undefeated. If we beat Sparty, we will be undefeated and this will be a major game among two ranked BCS teams. If we lose to Sparty, well, it might be a day game but Michigan is a high profile program so the network still might put it on at night.

Last night on the Penn State/Iowa broadcast, I could have sworn it ALREADY had the "GameDay" logo next to our game when they were showing the Iowa schedule. Too small to read the letters and I wasn't recording it, so I can't give a screen cap. Anyone else notice this?

I saw it too. I'm excited to hear segments about tate and denard. Like interviews with childhood friends about how tate doesn't get nervous and how denard just never tied his shoes but they show him tie shoes just to show us he can...!!!!YAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!!!

When and where college gameday will be held? Do they usually announce it the Monday before the game? I think the gameday stage is usually set by the Thursday night game. I hope gameday will be in Iowa City, then it will be the 4th time I have seen the crew.

Excited for the night game at Iowa, as I will be attending. I hear the food outside the stadium at Kinnick is great and night game = more time to eat & drink. Anyone have suggestions for Iowa City?
