An Interview with Chris Wormley
I JUST CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!!!
you'll take the hits and like them young man.
great interview. I could have read more, but yes I understand he's busy.
how does one learn to play sideline to sideline?
isn't that just speed and agility? can that be taught?
Speed, agility . . . and desire. You can't play sideline to sideline if you're not willing to hustle.
Everyone seems so sensitive around here these days.
Quit being such a jerk Chad!
I'm not sensitive, YOU'RE sensitive.
I will never post again about people's sensitivities. Goodbye.
Yeah. Thanks a lot Bin Laden.
Pretty sure that's illegal.
sorry in advance for two things: high jacking a thread & linking to the miserable Freep.
Urban to have keynote speech at Southfield Sound body/mind camp
it's a good thing you never actually linked to the freep!
can't link, spam filter triggered :(
(why do u hate me, Brian!?)
A spam filter? For typing <a href...>?
I don't understand ANYTHING anymore!
a tried using the HTML tag but that didn't work either.
it may be the fact that I'm <100 pts.
I feel pretty confident in saying that the spam filter didn't delete the link. Because I AM the spam filter. And I didn't delete the link. So unless PGB or someone else nuked it, it was an error of another sort.
Perhaps MGoBlog has become sentient, and is actively improving the content of its own accord.
You ARE the brute squad.
I bet we can get Rob Scneider to play your sissy sidekick for the movie!
Time to teach it how to neg-bang.
your user name is jizzum cat.
Duane Long loved him. Rivals had him as a three star. Seems like he could be a high NFL pick or no more than a back-up.
Why not Darboh? I don't think both will see the field (that would be wasteful - but the need is there.) I haven't seen too much film on either but I'm curious if you know something wrt Chesson and Darboh. They both have similar speed and cred.
You're forgetting the obvious choice:
http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/2012-preferred-walkon-ls-tyler-tokarsky
/Long Snapper jokes will never get old.
Oh... you said TOKarsky...
It's a subjective issue......one cannot be "clearly" more interesting than another for everybody. It's a matter of opinion.
He doesn't deal in opinions. He deals in facts. And Jehu Chesson is factually more interesting.
Not to sub-sub thread - but which guy do you think is going to be more impactful in 2012 Darboh or Chesson? Or do I have to wait for your countdown.
Eddins is undersold in that coutdown BTW in my opinion - but we will see about that on the field. He's had the college workouts and training. It's highly dependent on how fit/ready Williams comes in.
I'm still somewhat undecided on that... I'm leaning toward Darboh because he's more physically ready, but I don't know that he's more talented in the long run.
Do you expect both to get playing time?
No, I expect one to redshirt...I'm just not sure which one.
The lucky guy may be the one who RSs. The overall playing time across his career is going to be larger for that guy. Devin will take the marginal snaps at WR this year IMO - which means nothing.
That he hasnt figured out how to translate that speed to the football field yet? I know his talent will be maximized at Michigan though. The 2012 class just feels like a powder keg ready to explode with potential to me with Darboh, Chesson, Norfleet, and Wormelu. Anyone else get that feeling?
Oh, you know recruiting sites. Hurdlers have to go up and down so much the experts may worry that won't translate to straight-line speed.
This is the second or third interview I've seen with Wormley where he continually looks away from the camera. I wonder if he's disinterested, camera-shy, or just wants to beat the hell out of someone asking the same annoying questions in interview after interview. Either way, I'm excited to see him on the field.
I get the feeling he's a little camera shy.
6'5", 270 lbs is pretty impressive for a freshman DE. There's not really much room for him to grow into that position. Would you say it's 50/50 he ends up inside?
Eventually, yeah. I somehow doubt that he can go his entire college career without gaining at least 20 lbs. And if he's 290+, he'll probably be too big for DE.
For whatever reason he reminds me of Alan Branch a bit(not as big). Then again that is why I draw pictures and don't talk football X and Os a lot.
It's not a recruiting violation if the players have a previous relationship. Considering they went to the same high school, it's quite possible that Koger and Wormley knew each other outside of the Michigan connection.
But I think there's also a difference between publicly communicating with a recruit and communicating with him in a one-to-one manner,
Tweeting @RecruitX is bad. Sending a direct message to @RecruitX = not always bad.
I'm glad we got a sense on Wormley's height, since he was reported anywhere from 6'4" to 6'8". 6'5" 270 is a real good size for him to start at, especially since he looks to carry very little bad weight.
is one of many freshman that are ready to play now. I can't wait for this class to get a year under their belt!!!
