Nice interview.
I love this guy already. I was especially encouraged to hear him state that Michigan coaches don't concern themselves with other teams - a theme oft-repeated by recruits and accompanied by the obvious implication that other staffs spew negativity as a baseline recruiting tactic.
Chesson & Darboh, roomies. I'm pretty excited about this WR combo. Not quite as excited as I was about Hayes and Toomer in the same incoming class in the 90's, or Terrell and Walker in late 90's (I think they were in the same class...or did Walker RS?), but still very excited.

I definitely like these guys more than any of Rodriguez's wide receiver classes. I'd probably have to go back to 2005 (Manningham, Bass) to find a better combo of recruits, although the 2008 class with Roundtree and Odoms ended up being pretty solid.

Forgot that Mario and Antonio were in the same incoming class. That WR combo had serious upside coming in.

"My first goal is to get there, earn a spot and some playing time." Of all the good things he said, that was my favorite. This class, and Amara in particular, seems to get the idea that you work for it and earn it. There are no gimmies.

I'm hoping Darboh's struggles as a youth, and his subsequent character and work ethic, carry over into driving him to be a great college receiver. Michigan hasn't had a truly great receiver in several years, in my opinion. Even Manningham, who put up excellent numbers, got by on superior physical talent most of the time. The last guy who really worked his butt off to become great was Braylon Edwards. And Edwards wasn't supremely fast, but he had great timing and fought for the ball when it was in the air.
I think at least one of these two guys (Darboh or Chesson) is going to develop into a top-notch receiver if Devin Gardner and/or Shane Morris pans out.

Love this guy as well. The fan perspective on recruiting too often comes down to distillable numbers: how many guys, how many stars. But character & mental makeup probably has just as much, if not more, impact on a guys eventual success in college as athletic ability. And it seems really clear that Amara's got it. He really seems like the type of guy that you don't need to worry about once he shows up on campus.

Darboh and Chesson are two of my favorite recruits in this class (Braden, Ross and Clark are the rest of my top 5). Every interview I've read with them has been great.
